After many years of hoping, dreaming, and waiting, we are so excited to be called "Mommy" and "Daddy!" Adoption has always been a part of our desire for our family, and our struggles with infertility have confirmed that adoption is also God's plan for us. A Bit About Us...
We met in high school and got married while we were still in college. It's hard to believe we've been married for 11 years! We have a strong marriage built on friendship, honesty, trust, and Christian faith. We love "doing life" together, and are so excited to share our life and love with our first child!

Mark enjoys rollerblading, computer games, and modeling. Kristen enjoys creative writing, needlework and photography. We both love to spend time together - taking walks, going to the zoo, watching baseball, playing games, cooking, reading, and just "hanging out." We also enjoy traveling, and look forward to many family vacations. We are excited about sharing our favorite activities with our child, seeing our favorite places through our child's eyes, and discovering new experiences together.

A Bit About Mark...
Mark is my best friend and my greatest support. He is a very giving person, who shows his love in many ways - bringing me flowers when he knows I've had a hard day, and making my lunch every morning before work. I know he will be a loving, "hands on" father to your child.

Mark loves to get together with friends. He is the kind of person you just can't help having fun with! Watching him with our friends' children, I know that Mark is going to be a wonderful father, and I can't wait to see him as a daddy!

Mark recently completed his Ph.D. in European History, preparing himself to become a college professor. He is taking this school year off to work on course preparation at home before beginning full-time teaching next fall. This will give him the opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad for a while, which is something he is very excited about.

A Bit About Kristen...
Kristen is a deeply compassionate woman, with a quiet personality that draws others to her. She is one of the most open and accepting people I know, and is the kind of person to whom you can tell anything.

Kristen takes great enjoyment in making our home a comfortable place. She loves to decorate for holidays. She is also a wonderful cook! Caring for others comes naturally to Kristen. She will be the kind of mother who is always available, sensitively listening to her child's fears and dreams, and encouraging them to develop their own unique personality. She looks forward to becoming a stay-at-home mom once I begin teaching full time.

About Our Family...
We have a large extended family who are eager to welcome our first child! Your baby will have lots of aunts and uncles, cousins, grand parents, and great-grand parents to love and play with. We keep in touch with our families through phone calls and e-mail, and occasional visits and vacations together. Our parents can't wait to have another grandchild to love and spoil.

About Our Home...
We live in a quiet suburban neighborhood in Minnesota, with a mix of ethnicities, and a lot of young families. Our house has three bedrooms and a large back yard. We have a cozy nursery all ready for your baby to come home to.

We share our home with three female indoor cats who are very social and loving, and gentle with children.
