We are so excited to share our website with you! Thank you for considering us as you search for a loving adoptive family.

We were married in the spring of 1999 and the past seven years have been an amazing time for us! We were anxious to begin creating our family but discovered that it would not be possible due to unexplained infertility. It was difficult at first but we remained confident that we would be parents one day. Our love and faith have kept us strong and the process has brought us closer and made our marriage stronger than we ever thought possible. We feel so privileged to be building our family through adoption!

In 2005, we were blessed with the birth and adoption of our son, Hayden, and we can’t wait to welcome a little girl into our happy family!

We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and love the green trees, the constant smell of the ocean and the clean air. We love being outdoors, snow and going to the zoo!

In the summertime we enjoy relaxing in the cool backyard with lemonade, working in the garden and reading in the sunshine. Dena enjoys photography, painting, gardening and baking cookies. Michael likes to read and play computer and strategy games.

About Dena:
Dena has a wonderful smile that lights up the room. I easily fell in love with her gentle laugh, fun loving spirit, her creativity and her ability to see beauty in the world like no one else I‘d ever met.

Dena is an amazing mother; she is warm, sensitive, patient, compassionate, smart, and spiritually grounded. Our children will grow up knowing that there's nothing they can't do if they set their mind to it. Dena is my best friend and I am so excited to be sharing the joys of parenting with her!

About Michael:
Michael is the kindest, most compassionate, loving man I have ever known. He is also an incredible goof-ball, my best friend and favorite person to laugh with! Michael is a wonderful husband, provider and an excellent father. He is a kid at heart - from knowing all the Disney movies lyrics to playing kick the can in the street!

Michael is so nurturing, he will be the one our children run to with booboo’s and skinned knees and will scare away the monsters in the closet. There is no doubt that Michael will love our children with every ounce of his heart.

About Hayden:
Hayden is full of smiles and loves to flirt with everyone, and just about everyone flirts right back!

Complete strangers comment on what a happy child he is. He loves to be outdoors; running and playing with other children, sliding down the slide and chasing bubbles!

Our Home and Family
We live in a beautiful suburb of Seattle, right near the beach and the forest. Our home is two stories and has a terrific backyard – we love to sit outside and listen to the frogs at night. We have squirrels, raccoons and birds that visit our yard. At the end of our cul-de-sac is a playground where all the neighborhood kids love to play.

We are fortunate to have family living closeby. Michael’s mother lives 20 minutes from us and Dena’s mom lives at the end of our street. Both love being called “Grandma”! Our families are extremely supportive of our adoption plans and they can’t wait to welcome our next child into the family.

We have unusual work schedules that are perfect for raising our children at home. Michael works an alternating work week and Dena works limited part time. Basically this means NO day care. Because our family is nearby, there will always be loving help available if there’s ever an unexpected situation.

Closing Thoughts:
Our journey to parenthood has been amazing! Please know that we are open to sharing photos, letters and visits over the years. We plan on sharing with both of our children the special way they came into our family. We have an open adoption with Hayden’s birth family and it has been a wonderful blessing.

We have a strong marriage, wonderful supportive families and a never-ending supply of love that we can’t wait to share with another child.
