More About Our Family
|
| Our Special Interests |
Some of our favorite activities include camping, hiking, traveling, cooking out, and spending time with family and friends. We go camping and hiking as often as we can, and when we travel, we enjoy exploring new places, trying new foods, and meeting new people. We cherish the time we get to spend with our family and friends, many of whom have adopted. |
| Our Faith |
Christian; we attend a non-denominational church and are involved in volunteer activities and classes that encourage our spiritual growth and commitment to our community. |
| Our Musical Interest |
Everything! We both love music and live concerts… from country (Willie Nelson, Carrie Underwood) to old R&B (Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye) to cheesy 80's music (Duran Duran, Poison) to gospel (Whitney Houston, Mahalia Jackson) to classical (Appalachian Spring by Copeland, Carmina Burana by Carl Orff). And that’s just the short list! |
| About Our Home |
We have a three bedroom, two bathroom ranch-style brick home surrounded by very large oak trees. We have the nursery ready and waiting, it’s newly painted in a soft green and soon to be decorated with Winnie the Pooh bedding (or maybe frogs). We have a fenced-in backyard with a small garden and lots of room for a play set. |

Texas |
| Our Neighborhood |
We live in a quiet suburb with a great school district. There are lots of trees and parks, and it is culturally and racially diverse with both young families and senior citizens living on our street. Our town recreation center is within walking distance, and it offers lots of fun classes and summer camps for the kids. They have a community pool with slides and a splash playground. The library is about a mile away, and it has a very large children's section. Our town is truly geared towards families. |

| Future Contact with Birth Family |
We would be open to meeting in person and would be willing to travel to your state.
We are open to whatever amount of contact you prefer after the adoption. Please know that we would be truly happy to share pictures and letters, as long as accompanied by visits once a year. We will be very committed to maintaining a relationship with you or your family if that is your desire. |
| Our Promise to You |
We promise that your child will be loved unconditionally and will always know how he or she came to be part of our family. You will always hold a special place in our hearts and your child will know the care and love that went into your decisions on their behalf. We will build a joyful home based on our faith in God, and your child will be provided with all the opportunities to explore their interests and talents and to pursue a higher education. |
