We would like to invite you into the world of Michael & Sherrel. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be considered as parents for your child. It is our sincere desire that you find something special about us that excites and intrigues you.

About Us
We were introduced through mutual friends just over nine years ago and we have been happily married for five years. We are best friends and still enjoy weekly date nights.

We have known from the start of our relationship that we wanted children. After the four years of unsuccessful fertility treatments, we knew that God had different plans for us. We had always talked about adoption, because Michael was adopted! We are so excited about becoming first time parents through adoption.

We are both blessed to have stable careers and are able to provide your child with a financially stable household.  Michael works in the transportation service industry and Sherrel is a high school teacher.  Shrerrel has the summers off as well as all the other winter and springs breaks to spend at home with your child.  Education is definitely a high priority for us.

Our Home
Our house is located in a quiet, racially diverse residential neighborhood in the southern United States. Our home is a two story house with a nice backyard with plenty of room for your child to run and play.

Our home is within walking distance of schools, a library, parks, and only a few minutes away from one of the nation’s finest medical facilities. 

About Michael
Michael is spontaneous, funny, spiritual, giving and supportive.  Michael is also a great provider. These are the qualities that I admire most in him.  For him God and family come first, and as long as those two are in order everything else will fall into place.  

Michael is an outdoors type of guy. He’s an avid sports fan and I don’t know that there is a sport that he doesn’t watch or follow. He’s recently discovered his new hobby of gardening to be very relaxing. His other hobbies include golf, reading, and playing dominoes.  Michael also enjoys reading about world history and watching The History Channel. Together we enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching our favorite TV shows, shopping, exploring new things, traveling, and most importantly - just being together.

About Sherrel
Sherrel captures my heart with her schoolgirl charm and the radiance that beams from her beautiful big brown eyes. I am truly blessed and fortunate to have such a beautiful and intelligent young lady as my wife. If I had to choose one word to describe Sherrel, it would have to be determined. She does not let setbacks, obstacles or stumbling blocks get in her way; she seems to always find a solution to any problem that may arise. Sherrel is reserved, a thinker, a planner and thrifty; where as I tend to fly by the seat of my pants. She is the balance of our household.

Sherrel amazes me with her creativity.  She loves reading a good novel, decorating the house, and finding the ultimate bargain when she’s out shopping with her mom.  Sherrel’s other hobbies include tennis and surfing the Internet.

Our Family
Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday dinners are usually spent with family at Sherrel’s mother’s home.  This is where everyone gathers to eat and then watch the major sporting event of the day, usually football! 

Our families are so excited about a new baby in the families. The more the merrier! We are close to our families and when we are not spending time together there are frequent phone calls, both local and long distance!

Our promise to you is that your child will be raised in a home filled with unconditional love, where a Christian background and strong educational values will be a high priority. We promise you that if you choose us as your adoptive parents your child will receive the support, guidance, love, and the security that all children deserve.  Your child will also be raised in a financially stable home where they will be taught the importance of strong family and moral values.
