About Us 
We met while attending college in Louisiana. Mickey's fraternity brother was a close friend of Amber's. Amber introduced herself to Mickey and the rest is history. That was 15 years ago! We attribute our success to two main factors: our friendship and communication. We balance each other in areas of strengths and weaknesses. Amber is the extrovert in the family, while Mickey has a quiet strength. After several years of trying to get pregnant, we found that we were not going to be able to have a child biologically and immediately began thinking about adoption. We know now that the Lord meant for this to be the path we were to take to becoming parents and can't wait to open our hearts and our lives to a child!

About Amber by Mickey
Amber is a wonderful cook! They say that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach! She looks forward to spending quality time with our children cooking yummy treats and meals for all of us! Amber stole my heart from the moment I set eyes on her. Amber will never let anyone down if she can prevent it. Amber's career lends itself well to motherhood. She is a high school teacher/counselor. Because of her work in the school system, she will have summer and other vacations to spend at home with our child. I have been so proud of her choice to go to graduate school to become a counselor. She is such a good listener and has such a knack for understanding and helping with the problems her students face. She will be completing her Master's degree in counseling a year faster than expected and with a 4.0 grade point average.

About Mickey by Amber
Mickey is a kind, loving, loyal man who is my very best friend in the world. Mickey is so supportive of my ideas and dreams. Mickey recently graduated from nursing school and is a Registered Nurse. He enjoys golfing with his dad and uncle. Mickey loves working with dogs and works at a local dog training facility training dogs in obedience, tracking, and personal defense. Mickey is just a big kid at heart-he’ll have such fun playing with our child! I know that he will make a wonderful father and will share his experiences and talents with the child that we are meant to parent.

Our Family
Our family has been so supportive and excited about our journey to parenthood. They can't wait for us to adopt a child! We look forward to passing on our strong family values and creating new family memories with our child. The child that we bring into the family will be the first grandchild for both of our parents so they will be super-showered with love!

Our Disney Vacation Spot
Every year since we were married we have gone to Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida. On our honeymoon we purchased a timeshare so we could take our kids to Disney for vacation each year. So far, we are the only ones to have that fun! We are just big kids at heart and LOVE to go to Disneyworld. We can't wait to share this with our kids!
