Dear Birthmother,

Our journey through infertility led us straight to the path of adoption, and we were beyond blessed with the adoption of our first son, Fletcher.  We would love for him to grow up close in age with a brother or sister.  We are humbled that you would consider us as an adoptive family for your child.  Please know that you will always have a special place inside our hearts, home, and family.

Our Story
Before we were parents, we were two career people with the usual hobbies and dreams – but Fletcher’s adoption forever changed and enriched our lives.  We love spending time with family and friends, enjoying fun weekends at the beach, swimming at the pool, cooking dinner with friends each week, and having game night playoffs on the Wii.  We live in a family-friendly neighborhood that is bustling with children playing in the sprinklers and fishing with string tied to sticks in the pond behind our house.   There are beautiful pathways we love to stroll along in the evening when the air is cool, with our two pups, Lacey and Angus.  Within a few miles is the local Christian church we attend, the elementary school, our favorite quiet beach, and more shopping than Richele could hope for.  We think the coastal area of South Carolina is a great place to raise a family.

Our Lives
We are fortunate that Mike’s career as an Army officer has afforded us the opportunity to save for the future, and allowed Richele to happily leave her career as a computer analyst behind to be a full-time at-home mom.  We both hold advanced degrees and will provide the encouragement, support, and financial means for our children to set and achieve their own education goals.  The military is very family-oriented with programs and activities for children of all ages, excellent health insurance, and extended leaves of absence for childcare.  Mike was able to stay home with Richele and Fletcher for five weeks. 

About Richele
Richele is at home each day providing a loving and nurturing environment for our children to learn and explore the world around them.  She will make certain that every day is filled with fun and great opportunities.   Richele has a fun and free spirit - she loves to shop, wear tiaras on her birthday, practice yoga, and sing loudly along with the radio.  When I get home from work, I’m greeted with two of the biggest smiles you can imagine.  Richele is happiest when she is dancing with and loving on Fletcher, and she is eager to add more children to our family. 

About Mike
Mike has a great sense of humor, and people react so positively to his fun personality.  He was raised to know that education and hard work are the keys to a successful future, while family and fun are the foundations for a great life.  Mike is such a great role model – he thrives as a family man and he cares for those around him so completely.  His work place offers loads of opportunities for him to be an active and involved dad.  When our children are old enough to learn to read, ride their bikes, and go along on fishing trips, Mike will be a great teacher and fishing buddy.

Our Family
We have wonderfully close families who have set an incredible example of how to make memories and enjoy life.  It has been magical to watch our family and friends completely embrace and fall in love with Fletcher right along with us.  We make frequent trips along the East Coast and to Texas to spend time with our families, especially for the holidays.  Each year, we head to the Gulf Coast of Florida to a beach house with Richele’s childhood friends, and to the Outer Banks of North Carolina with Mike’s. 

Our Promise to You
We promise that your child will always know of you, your love, and their special adoption story. We are very open to discussing the amount of contact you would like to have with us during your pregnancy, and after the birth of your baby.  While our son’s birth mom chose to maintain her privacy, we are sending pictures and letters to the agency in case she wants to see them later.  We want you to feel at peace with your adoption plan, and we would like to help – by either respecting your privacy, or sharing with you that your child is growing up happy and loved with us.
