Dear Birthmother,
Hello! Our names are Barb and Nate. We are a fun, active couple who enjoys life. It is so exciting to be once again expanding our family through adoption and we are looking forward to hearing the laughter of another child in our home. We love being parents and feel raising our son has been a gift. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and considering us as parents for your child...it is an honor to share our life with you!
About Us
Both of us were raised in stable homes by loving parents who instilled in us basic values/traditions we will share with our children. We have many wonderful childhood memories filled with family and friends.
Our journey together began thirteen years ago...it was love at first sight! We dated for two years and have been married for the past eleven. We believe that marriage is a lifelong commitment and are dedicated to each other and our family. We postponed having children until we had stable careers, were financially established and owned our first home. After dealing with infertility issues for several years we were blessed to begin our family through adoption. Our son Logan came to us as a newborn in 2005.
Our family is very active. We love spending time outdoors going for walks, hiking at various parks, biking on nearby trails, and camping with family/friends.
We can often be found in our back yard playing or roasting marshmallows over a fire.
About Barb, by Nate
Meeting Barb was love at first sight. I knew instantly that she was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. She’s loving, patient, loyal, understanding and truly treats everyone as she would want to be treated. These qualities make her an excellent mother, wife and teacher. Logan’s love for Barb is obvious to anyone who sees them together.
Barb enjoys canning vegetables from her dad’s garden, going for long walks, reading and spending time with her friends. Family traditions are important to Barb and she will continue to share these with our children.
About Nate, by Barb
Nate is the love of my life and my best friend. He is thoughtful, sensitive and fun! He is quick with a joke, a smile or a hug. These qualities make him a wonderful husband and father.
He is the owner of a small construction company and takes pride in his work...quality is important to him. Nate has a flexible schedule, which allows him to take an equal, active role in parenting. He loves running, going for walks, biking, and hiking!
We are truly blessed to have Nate in our lives – I could not imagine a better husband, father or friend.
About Logan
Our son Logan came to us, through adoption, in 2005. He has changed our lives, making us better people.
Logan is our three year old bundle of energy who loves being outside. He enjoys throwing tennis balls to our golden retriever Mandy, riding his bike, swimming, sledding, and playing ball with mom and dad.
He has a wonderful “belly laugh” that is contagious. While he loves to have fun, Logan is also very caring and thoughtful - he will be a wonderful big brother!

Our Neighborhood & Home
Our home is warm, welcoming and child-friendly! It is a ranch home, located on a dead-end road in a small rural subdivision on the outskirts of town. There is a huge yard with acres of woods to explore. We have the best of both worlds – country quiet and town conveniences. We especially love the strong sense of community in our neighborhood – people are thoughtful and care about each other.
Our Pet
Our golden retriever, Mandy, is playful and energetic but well behaved. Her calm personality makes her the perfect companion for children. Chasing tennis balls and going for walks are her favorite activities.
