Adoptive mother, Olivia

Dear Birthmother,

My name is Olivia. My belief in God, being a spiritual person, helped me understand that adoption was the answer I had been searching for. I have no children due to infertility. I did some research, talked with friends who had been through the adoption process and talked with the Lifetime staff. I truly believe God wanted me to be a mother to a wonderful child. Well, here I am!!

I am an only child and am surrounded by the most loving and generous friends and family. I am so lucky to have had a career helping families and children for 13 years. To be able to experience a second career as a dental assistant is equally gratifying.Olivia works part-time as a newscaster

My faith is rooted in the spiritual belief that kindness, giving of one's self and taking care of others is the Christian way. My relationship with God is a constant source of comfort and joy to me.

I have always lived in Missouri. I was raised by my parents in a loving and supportive home. My mother instilled a love of family, music, cooking, arts and theater. My father taught me about science and nature. I love to go fishing and some of my fondest memories are of me and Dad on the lake.

I have been active helping families in our area for many years. I am the chairperson of the Housing Authority, which provides affordable, safe housing to the elderly, disabled and low-income families. I believe that helping others makes me a better person. I am also a member of the ASPCA and HSUS, both animal welfare organizations.

Home in MissouriI own a beautiful home with two bedrooms and one bathroom (with another being added). It has a galley-shaped kitchen, a dining room and a living room with a fireplace. My back yard is like an enchanted forest, waiting for your child to use his or her imagination to bring happy fantasies to life. The kitchen is brightly decorated and well used. One of my favorite activities is to cook for family and friends. My mother taught me how to cook when I was very young and I look forward to passing secret family recipes to your child!

Children ride bikes and scooters on my street and adults like to walk for their health. My home is one block from a city park that is busy with families during the warmer months. There are plenty of activities to keep your child busy, including scouting, dance, martial arts, music classes and art classes offered to kids three and up. Church youth activities are plentiful, prayer walks, youth camp, church theater and summer Bible school.

Out on the town with friends!I am so fortunate to have loving friends of all ages. The opportunity for growth and understanding of different ideas, values and opinions are something I treasure. Since I am an only child, friendship is important to me. It's as though I have brothers and sisters in my life!

I love dogs! My parents have a white ball-of-fire named Lou. My dog Regie (a girl) was rescued from the Humane Society in 1991. We became an instant family, and she shared her life with me for the next 13 years. She passed away in August of 2004. She is always in my heart.

I love to travel and have seen many states in the US as well as Canada and Jamaica. I have extended family all over the country. I can't wait to take your child on trips and let him or her see this wonderful country of ours.

Olivia is very excited to become a mother! My promise: Your child's happiness, education and spiritual growth are my number one priority. The opportunity to experience parenthood is a blessing and I will commit my life to helping your child achieve his or her dreams. I had a safe and loving home growing up and was given so many gifts of the heart. My family and friends whole-heartedly support my desire to adopt and will continue to be active in my efforts. Your child will be welcomed into warm, loving arms and cherished just as I was. Your child will feel the respect and kindness that she or he so richly deserves.

You have created a miracle and your child will know about you if that is your wish. I would be open to phone contact and sharing letters and photographs. Please contact me by calling Lifetime Adoption at
