Dear Birthmother,

Hello, we are Pat and Myra. We are an energetic, loving couple, and love family life!

Both Pat and I grew up with brothers and sisters, and have excellent childhood memories. There were enough children in our families to enjoy all sorts of games and other activities--like singing, visiting, etc. just right at home. We were great friends, and that's the kind of environment we want for our children too.

Our Life Together
We have been happily married for almost twelve years. Pat and I grew up fifteen hundred miles apart. We met when we were twenty and nineteen respectively, and I guess it was love at first sight! About one year later, when we got married, I moved fifteen hundred miles away from my family, which took a while to get used to. Now we love going back there for Christmas and other occasions. We have two sons and one daughter--Justyn, Jessica, and Jared. They all seem to love babies!! We adopted two of our children, and one is our biological child...and there's no difference in loving them! We feel so very privileged. We have struggled with fertility problems in the past, but now our life is very fulfilled with little people--whether adopted to us or born to us. We are so thankful! We are willing to share letters and photos, if you and your family would like us to. And we're also open to considering visits.

Pat's very good looking, jolly, and smiley! He is loving, kind and patient. And fun to be with! He is very honest and responsible. He is outgoing, easygoing and has a good sense of humor! He also likes having visitors and being with others. Seems like about everyone that knows him thinks he's pretty neat!! He loves our children and is a very good dad. He loves spending time with the children...like taking them on errands, going to town, to Grampa's, and different places. He has lots of love to share with another child! He enjoys working on our farm, and also landscaping and yard work. He's a great husband and my BEST FRIEND!

Besides farming, Pat works in a rock mine operating heavy equipment like cats, loaders, and cranes. He really enjoys his job and it's only about fifteen miles from home. He doesn't usually work more than five days a week, so he's home on the weekends and evenings--treasured family time, which we love!

About Myra, by Pat
Myra is a caring, fun-loving person. She is jolly and cheerful. She is a beautiful person, in looks and personality. She loves to sing, go on evening walks, and watch the sunset. She is a full-time housewife and mom and will be a warm and loving mother to a new child in our home.

(P.S, not by Pat:) I'm a stay-at-home mom--happy to say! I do some baby-sitting now and then for friends at home, here. Our children love having other children around to play with. I know they'd all love a baby. Justyn would be a big help. He is already! And I'm sure Jessi and Jared would love to try and help too. I enjoy baking - cookies, cakes, etc, and it makes it even more fun when there are children around just waiting for a taste! I also enjoy sewing clothes for myself and baby clothes. I've also made curtains and blankets.

Extended Family
Pat's family all live close to us, which is nice. We get together with his family at Christmas-time, Easter, Thanksgiving, and many times in between, including birthdays. My family lives much farther away, but we go out there at least once a year, and my parents come see us every year too. Our children think it's great being with cousins. They are loved a lot by their grandparents on both sides of the family. I have three sisters who have adopted children, and we are all supported greatly in this.

Our Home
We live on a nine-acre farm, with lots of trees and a nice view of the mountains! We have wonderful sunrises in the mornings. We're only three miles from the big city, so we have everything we need right close. We built a new barn, in which we farm 25,000 chickens. Pat usually does the chores and work in the barn.

Occasionally Justyn and I help in there too. We also have an old barn with a loft that would be great for children to play in. Our house is a three level split, with a cozy fireplace. We re-painted and re-floored the house two and a half years ago, so it feels like new and we're really enjoying it! We have a wonderful home for children to grow up in.

Our Interests
We really enjoy the "great outdoors"--yard work and gardening. We have lots of flowers, and a vegetable garden. It's fun working outside together as a family! We live close to the mountains and about fifteen miles from the ocean, so there are lots of things to do and see...and we love it! We like going camping in the mountains or by a nice lake where we can swim. There are lots of different places to try. We enjoy hiking on the mountains by the wild flowers and streams, and also on some glaciers! A while back, we as a family climbed to the top of a mountain...and what an awesome view!

We love going on sightseeing day trips. We also love being with friends and family...eating out (one of our favorites is Mexican food), visiting, and so on. Most of our friends have children. We have a wonderful zoo about four miles from our place--we love it! We get snow occasionally but, as a rule, we have mild weather. So we get to make snowmen or play a game in the snow every once in a while, which is pretty special to children!

Our Faith
We have a strong belief in God, and attend Church regularly. Our children like to sing and Justyn enjoys listening to, or reading Bible stories, and we look forward to reading them to our younger children too. We believe God has helped us greatly while we've been waiting for our children.
