Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and our dream to adopt a child. Due to infertility, we are hoping to start our family through adoption. We have so much support from our family and friends and hope that reading this will help you understand a little bit more about us and the love and security we can give to a child.

About Us
We enjoy going on walks together in the early morning and hiking near the American River on weekends. Bike riding and gardening are just some of the activities we enjoy doing together. We enjoy getting out of town and it's fun celebrating our birthdays together.

We were set up on a blind date by one of Randy's childhood friends. When we finally met, we both knew we had ended our search for the "right" person. We were married one year to the date of our first meeting, and have been happily married ever since. One of the things that drew us together was that we were both raised in a Christian family with strong moral values. We will also raise our son or daughter with the same ideals. We look forward to taking them to Sunday school and teaching them how to live as a positive role model.

Meet My Wife Robin
Robin is one of the most patient and loving people I have ever known. It's hard to imagine my life without her now, because she brings so much happiness to my life and to the lives she touches. There is such a positive energy she brings, and people just love to be around her. Robin loves being a second grade school teacher. Her students sometimes call her "mom" which is totally understandable when you think about her nurturing ways. I look forward to the day my wife becomes a "mom."

Meet My Husband Randy
Randy is such a fun-loving person and partner. He is a true outdoorsman who has shown me so many new activities I probably would have never attempted on my own. Randy is very patient and makes me feel so happy, and protected with his energy and enthusiasm. He shares his love for the outdoors with everyone; hiking with his two nephews, or just playing ball with the neighbor's son. He has recently become an outreach environmental educator for local schools and organizations. Randy also loves to cook. He is always cooking up great healthy meals for us. It is so touching to see how excited Randy is at becoming a father because I know how wonderful he will be.

Our Home
We are from Northern California and we live in a four bedroom home built in 2000. Our house sits on a third of an acre. Our backyard and patio is our favorite part of the house because we can look out on the creek, watch the birds eat from their feeders, and see the squirrels chase each other. There is plenty of room to explore and play. It is truly a peaceful setting for us, and will be fun for our child to explore.

Our Family and Friends
Both of our families are thrilled at the thought of us welcoming a child into our lives. We come from two families with loving and caring parents, to whom we give full credit for teaching us to become good people. Our parents and siblings are just as excited to welcome and love a child (as we are) into the family. I have no doubt that a child will be loved and well taken care of by us, and all those around us. We have a large group of friends with children who are supportive, and will be so helpful to us. It will be fun to have our child grow up with other kids from our friends and family, who are around the same age.
