Adoptive parents, Reagan and Kate

Dear Birthmother,

Love, joy, peace, patience, and goodness are some of the qualities of the Christian spirit we hope to share with a child through adoption. We thank you for reading about us and for considering us as possible parents for your child.

Kate and Reagan out for a walkAbout Us
We celebrated our eighth anniversary in our new Texas home and believe that communication and compromise are the keys to a healthy, happy home life. We share many of the same interests, such as traveling, playing and watching sports, playing music, watching movies, reading books, and spending time with friends and family.

We have always believed God meant for us to become parents, but we were diagnosed with fertility problems. We prayerfully decided that adoption was the next step and can’t wait to adopt our first child, and hopefully more later on!

Reagan grilling out for friendsAbout Reagan (By Kate)
Reagan is an amazing husband, who is a hard worker, financially responsible, and emotionally supportive. Reagan is also a lifelong learner and will share that love for learning with his children. He has a PhD in engineering, and he enjoys learning about everything, including home improvement projects. He is brilliant and will encourage our children to take advantage of every educational opportunity we plan on providing for them.

Reagan also has a huge playful side, whether it be playing on our foosball table or a game of Risk. It’s fun to see Reagan’s competitive nature, but he always remembers the most important thing is to have fun. He loves the fall football season, and actually coached a 4th grade basketball team at church last winter. Reagan is ready to become a father and I know he’ll be great!

No one can beat Kate's banana bread!About Kate (By Reagan)
Kate’s number one gift is encouraging others. She is always sending cards to friends and former students to show how much she cares; in fact, she even writes daily notes to me.

Kate has an extraordinary work ethic which shows in all she does. When we moved to Texas, Kate decided not to get a full-time teaching job in the hopes of soon being at home raising children. She has gotten to show her creativity and work ethic in caring for our home, volunteering at church, and hopefully tutoring high school kids in the fall. Your child will receive her attention, creativity, and encouragement each day. Also, we both believe in eating together as a family and Kate loves cooking healthy, delicious meals.

Kate is also fun-loving and an avid sports fan. I love watching her shoot hoops with our little nephews; Kate lights up when she teaches a child. Kate is also a talented musician; she plays piano and wants to teach piano lessons to children, starting with your child. I can’t wait to raise children with Kate!

Reagan and Kate's Christian faith is strongAbout Our Faith
Our Christian faith is important to our family life. God has blessed us with a stable home and financial security, and we can’t wait to share His many personal blessings and love with your child. We recognize God’s hand in our lives and read His word each day. We attend church regularly and also take part in weekly Bible study groups. We feel blessed to have a church with a vibrant youth program, which continues to grow. At home and at church, we hope to help your child develop a personal relationship with God and build a life with a solid faith.

Home in TexasAbout Our Families and Home
We enjoy close relationships with our family who are supportive of our decision to adopt. Kate’s brother has two little boys who cannot wait for cousins to play with. Reagan’s brother and his wife work with the youth at their church. Kate’s parents both retired from teaching and look forward to more grandchildren to travel with and to share the family farms. Reagan’s father is retired and his mother still teaches – both are eager to have grandchildren of their own running around.

Everything’s bigger in Texas and our new four bedroom home is very spacious. It has a large back yard that includes a pool but still has plenty of room to play catch. Reagan enjoys grilling for family and friends during the summer, and we have great neighborhood play areas and walking trails. We have quickly made friends in the surrounding area, all of whom support us adopting and all of whom have babies and small children of their own who will be great friends with your child.

Reagan and Kate are excited to adopt! In Closing...
Together with our loved ones, we hold you close in our hearts as you decide if adoption is right for you, or if we are the right family for your child. Our friends and family are already praying for you and are ready to join us in surrounding the child God plans for us with so much love.

In closing, we can’t thank you enough for considering us for the honor of raising your child. We would happily share letters and photos as your child grows, if you would like. If you want to know more about us, please contact Lifetime at 1-800-923-6784.
