Dear Birthmother,

Hi! We are Rich and Emily and we want to genuinely thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We are excited to add to our family once again through adoption. We met 11 years ago and just celebrated seven wonderful years of marriage.  We knew from the beginning that we were meant to spend the rest of our lives together. Our marriage is strong and we are each other’s best friends.

About Us
Family is the most important aspect of our lives together. We most enjoy the simple things- taking a walk in our neighborhood, watching a good movie, or having a BBQ.  We also love to travel! Each year we are fortunate to take a couple family vacations- we’ve recently visited Mexico, Spain and Disney World. Grandma and grandpa will usually join us on our vacations. We are very close to our families– they mean the world to us.

Talking about our family wouldn’t be complete without mentioning our two dogs, Benny and Junior.  We adopted them both from an animal rescue and they are gentle, loving, and great with kids.  Nathaniel loves to give them hugs and play with them.

About Rich
Rich is the most kind, honest, and committed husband I have ever met. He is an absolutely wonderful dad and his life is devoted to Nathaniel.  Whether it’s playing cars and trucks or going camping for a weekend by the lake, I can always find them laughing together.

Rich is also an amazing cook and he spends a lot of time in the kitchen making delicious meals for our family.  Rich also loves to garden….he has a true green thumb!  His job as a golf club manager is very flexible and he is often at home.

About Emily
Emily is a great mom and can’t wait to welcome another child into our home.  She is funny, caring, and devoted. One of the things I love most about Emily is the bond she has with our son Nathaniel. She loves to take him to the playground and to music classes. Emily has a very flexible job, often working from home which allows her a lot of quality time with Nathaniel.  She has a great job in medical sales doing what she loves. Her true determination in life has allowed her to achieve success in her career. Emily has so many special interests but she most loves to participate in animal rescue. Emily is passionate about helping animal rescues find good homes for loving pets.

About Our Son, Nathaniel
Our son Nathaniel is truly the light of our lives.  He brings us and our family so much joy.  We adopted Nathaniel from Guatemala in 2007, and he is the happiest and most affectionate little boy. He will soon turn two. 

He loves to pretend cook in his own little kitchen and read books – especially Elmo books!  In the summer, he will start swimming lessons and he will also soon start to take Spanish lessons.  We hope he will be bilingual so he can learn more about his Hispanic culture. We always want him to know and respect his birth country and culture.

Our Home
We live in a spacious four bedroom home on three beautiful acres of land.  We also have a lot of natural wildlife right in our backyard. We are surrounded by mountains, yet only a 20 minute drive to the city.  We also are very blessed to have wonderful, supportive neighbors. It’s a great place for children to grow up.   

In Closing
Our faith is very important to us and something that we would like to instill in our children.  As Christians, we strongly believe in a foundation of God, and will raise our children to understand the importance of faith and spirituality. 

We also believe in the importance of education.  We are truly committed to helping our children achieve their educational dreams!
