We have maintained a very open adoption with our son's birthmother Carla since he was born four years ago. Carla can call us, email us, text us and visit us. We send her pictures throughout the year and keep her up to date on how he is doing in school and what activities he is involved in outside of school like soccer and taking swimming lessons.

 

Ryan's birthmother recently got married and is now expecting a child of her own. We even attended her baby shower which was so much fun. We absolutely adore Ryan's birthmother and her family.

 

Ryan's birthmother says of his adoption:

"I had a beautiful little boy named Ryan 2005. I made the choice to give him up for adoption because I knew I couldn’t give him the life he deserved. I was young and immature, but I’ve grown so much from it! He was unplanned, but I will never consider him a mistake"
