Dear Birthmother,

Hi!  We are Rich and Jennifer from Texas!  Adoption has truly blessed our family.  Jennifer’s grandmother was adopted and we adopted our son four years ago. We can’t wait to adopt another child and share our love. 

About Us
We both love children!  In 2005, we adopted our son Ryan.  We know adoption was God’s plan for us to become parents.

Our family is very active. We love to travel, cheer on our favorite sports teams and go to different cultural events around our city and state. Two of our favorite vacation spots outside of Texas are to Disney World, to the beaches of Maui and to the mountains and lakes of Wyoming.     

On the weekends, we enjoy going to our country club to relax, play golf, tennis and swim. We also enjoy going to the local farmer’s market to pick out fresh fruits and vegetables.

We have a number of family traditions including going to a nearby farm to pick out pumpkins for Halloween and going fishing at one of the lakes nearby during the spring and summer months.  And every Thursday is game night at our house where we love to play board games like Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders.

Our Home and Community
We live in a spacious home in North Texas.  Our community is very child-friendly and has been ranked one of the top 100 places nationally in which to live and raise a family. Our neighborhood is very safe, multi-cultural and offers a lot of activities for children.

Our home is near several parks, lakes and green belts. We live close to movie theaters, sporting and concert arenas, shopping malls, amusement parks, museums and family friendly restaurants. We enjoy going to restaurants like the Rainforest Café, Gatti Town and Chuck E Cheese every chance we get!

Your child will have the opportunity to attend a public or private school. Our neighborhood elementary school is located just down the street from our home and holds the state’s highest rating of "Exemplary." Our neighborhood private schools are also among the best in the state. Our church school was recently named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

A Little About Jennifer
Jennifer is a wonderful mother and you can always find her smiling.  She was a kindergarten and first grade bilingual teacher for several years before becoming an Assistant Principal.  Jennifer has a flexible schedule and has several long vacations throughout the school year and summer months. 

Jennifer is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. She served as a Community Education Promoter in a small rural village in the Dominican Republic for two years.  She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Jennifer enjoys riding bikes with Ryan and playing golf and tennis at our country club. She can’t wait to shower another child with love and attention!

A Little About Rich
Rich is a wonderful dad who is both loving and kind.  Rich received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering. Rich’s job offers flexible hours and long vacations.

Rich has a number of hobbies.  He enjoys playing golf and reading with Ryan. He is a great domino, chess and pool player and loves competing against family and friends.

Rich also enjoys fishing and can’t wait to take Ryan and his future sibling to one of our lakes nearby to fish. He loves to hike and spend time working in our garden. 

A Little About Ryan
We adopted Ryan at birth.  He is now four years old.  We have maintained an open adoption with his birthmother and her family.

Ryan enjoys riding his bicycle at the park, taking swimming lessons, playing golf and eating chicken nuggets with ketchup. He can’t wait to be a big brother! He has had so much fun helping to prepare the nursery and he can’t wait to adopt a dog or cat (or both!) with his new brother or sister. He attends a Montessori preschool and is learning English, Spanish and Chinese.
