About Us
We met while Richard was completing his Master’s degree.  We have been married for 14 years and have a happy loving marriage (we still hold hands!).  Raising our sons has been pure joy.  We always wanted to have another child, and when we learned that Carolyn would be unable to carry another pregnancy we felt that adoption would be a blessing for our family.

Our favorite part of each day is our official “family time” which is about an hour before bedtime each night.  It usually involves snuggles on the couch while watching “Who’s Smarter Than A 5th Grader” or The Disney Channel.  During the summer months we also enjoy playing outside and swimming in our pool.   We enjoy trips to the country to visit family. 

Each year we spend a week at the boys’ favorite vacation spot, Disney World!  Recently we enjoyed our trip to Universal Studios.  Spending time together as a family is what we love best and we look forward to creating many more memories with your child.

About Carolyn
Carolyn holds the family together and keeps everything running smoothly.  She supports and takes care of all of us and enjoys being a stay-at-home mom.

Carolyn is very active with the school and frequently volunteers to help.  This year she is the homeroom mom for Gavin’s Kindergarten class and also sewed the costumes for Preston’s third grade musical.  She takes great care of her own health by spending time at the gym several times per week. 

About Richard
Richard is someone that everyone just likes to hang out with.  One of my favorite things about him is how much he loves to play with our boys.  Even when they were babies Richard loved to spend time entertaining our boys.  He always makes time to be there for our kids, even if it’s just to be silly and fun.

He’s educated but has a lot of common sense.  He can build or repair most anything around the house and has the patience to pass this knowledge onto our boys. 

Our Children
Preston is nine years old and in the third grade.  He has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh and make the rest of us laugh.  He loves roller coasters, racing games, trains, animals and reading.  He’s a protective big brother who helps and teaches his little brother.  He says he wants to teach his future sister how to read and cross the street safely.

Gavin is a very confident, talkative and precocious six year old.  He is very sensitive and aware of those around him and wants everyone around him to be happy.  Gavin loves the park, school playground, back yard and riding his scooter in the driveway.  He also loves cars and trains which makes for hours and hours of play with his big brother.  He says he wants to teach his future sister how to color (and according to him, “she doesn’t have to stay in the lines”).

Our Home
We have a large two-story home with five bedrooms and three and a half baths.  We have a home theater room great for snuggling up and watching movies.  We have a room ready for a little girl, with a window seat that will be perfect for daydreaming or curling up with a book. 

We live in a lovely suburban neighborhood.  We have a long driveway for tricycle and scooter rides and a fenced-in pool and play set in the backyard.  Our friends next door have children and there are lots of other families with very young children on our street.  Our elementary school is just a block away and has the highest academic rating.
