Dear Birthmother,
God has showered us with blessings, lessons, and experiences to prepare us for raising a family in love and wisdom with His Son at the center. He has prepared a special place in our home, our lives, and our hearts for your child. He has already arranged for bedtime stories, games, days in the park, picnics, help with homework, and unconditional love.
About Us
We love time with our family, and we always planned to raise children together. We look forward to helping our children reach their fullest potential.
We are very much in love and treasure every moment together. We’ve been married eight years, and we enjoy playing games, exercising, snorkeling, racquetball, photography, camping, and home improvement. Some of our favorite evenings are spent at home in the backyard with friends and family or just the two of us – grilling on the patio and watching Buffy, our dog, chase the fireflies.
Education and learning are an important part of our lives, and we look forward to sharing all of the fascinating wonder that the world has to offer. Whether at home or traveling, we always look for opportunities to learn about the history or natural surroundings of the area.
Our Home
We live in Illinois, and home is our favorite place to be. Our spacious four-bedroom home has two living areas and a nursery that’s ready and waiting for your baby.
Our suburb is family-oriented with an excellent school district. We have a big fenced yard next to a nature preserve and we enjoy watching the rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and deer.
We are located in a quiet, private subdivision with little traffic. Our home is near an elementary school, playground, swimming pool, soccer fields, duck pond, and an indoor ice skating rink.
My Wife, Angela
Angela is the reason our home is my favorite place. She is always upbeat and looking at the bright side of life, and because of her, I do too. I love to watch her playing with her nephews - creating big adventures with little flashlights and a dash of imagination. I can't wait to see her playing with our children someday. She will be an adoring and patient mother.
She’s an awesome cook and homemaker, and she makes holidays a special time of the year. Angela is one of the smartest people I know, and I count on her for planning, paying the bills, and for good advice and perspective.
She serves at our church and hosts small group meetings and other church events regularly. Her passion for physical fitness keeps us both healthy and trim.
My Husband, Rick
Rick is the kindest and most loving man that I have ever met. He is incredibly patient with people and has a huge capacity for love. He sees beyond people's imperfections and just loves them for who they are, unconditionally. I am lucky to be the recipient of that kind of love. Rick is easy to be around and has a great sense of humor.
Rick’s creativity is evident in virtually every aspect of his life. He uses it to develop products at work, in home improvement projects, and while telling stories to our nephews.
Rick regularly participates in charitable building projects, serves at our church, and spent a week helping people affected by Hurricane Katrina. His creativity combined with his heart for charity inspired him to create an art for World Vision website.
Our Family
We have been blessed with a fun and loving family who is a big part of our lives. Angela is close to her mom and sister, and when they are together, it is nonstop talking! "Gram and Papa Bear" are already excited about the child we will adopt. Angela’s sister has two boys, and we love being a part of our nephews’ lives.
Eating meals together is part of building a family bond that lasts. Even when not with our extended family, we eat dinner together every night and share the experiences of our day.
Your child will have a lot of unconditional love, encouragement, and joy within our family.
Our Promise to You
We promise to be the best parents that we can be. We will love unconditionally, and your child will always KNOW they are loved. We will adore them and support them always. We will encourage your child to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. We welcome future contact with you through pictures, letters, and visits.
