Dear Birthmother,

We're grateful for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption. Adoption is near and dear to our hearts because Melissa was adopted. Robert has witnessed over the years how Melissa's family has celebrated her adoption day and always made it a happy occasion. We are excited that God has led us to adopt our first child with whom we will continue the special celebration of adoption.

Our Life Together
We met 14 years ago working together at the same hospital and have been married for 8 great years. We desire to share the love we have for one another with children.

Both of us are fortunate to share the same profession, as nurses, with flexible work schedules, which affords us to take time off any time of year. This flexibility will allow one of us to always be home to care for our children.

We love an adventure! An adventure, for us, means everything from our passion for travel, whether it's a road trip to visit relatives or a short-term mission trip overseas, to curiously appreciating a ladybug in our back yard. We will be devoted to sharing your child's discoveries and starting new adventures as a family.

My Wife, Melissa
Melissa is my blessing from God. She is my best friend, my love and my companion, and I love her so. She is bright, bubbly and fun loving, and she never fails to make me fall in love with her everyday.

Melissa is a very intelligent woman, who deeply cares about people and it shows in her occupation as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. She has a tender heart towards children and has a special insight to how children should be raised in a godly home. I love how she smiles, dances and makes life fun, yet is a pillar of strength and wisdom in the tougher times.

Melissa's love for the outdoors stems from when she worked in Yellowstone National Park during college. She enjoys watching sporting events. She loves music, dance and theatre because she danced and performed ballet for many years.

Melissa comes from a fantastic family. Her parents are retired school teachers who will provide a nurturing environment. Melissa is my perfect mate and I thank the Lord everyday for her.

My Husband, Robert
Robert is my soul mate. He is playful, energetic and has an inquisitive zest for life. Robert is clever, witty and resourceful which are traits that make him a great Emergency Room nurse. Of all the people Robert helps, he speaks often of how he likes to take care of the children.

Robert is a hobby enthusiast. He enjoys building and flying remote-controlled airplanes. Robert is a musician and plays his guitar every day and I am blessed to hear the house filled with the beautiful songs he plays. He has an interest in emergency preparedness, disaster training and survival skills.

Robert is a wonderful husband who helps around the house and mows the lawns. Robert is a dedicated son and jovial uncle. I know he will be a great daddy and will make life fun and exciting as he helps a child explore life.

Our Home, Families and Faith
We live with our cat in a cute and cozy three bedroom, two bathroom home in Northern California. One block away is a marvelous park with two softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool and a large playground. The area in which we live is known for excellent schools. Less than an hour's drive away is the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco. We are blessed with moderate weather year round.

Melissa's parents live one and a half miles away and are excited to help baby-sit a new grandbaby. Melissa's brother is married with two daughters who live in a rural setting with horses, within a short driving distance. Robert's parents live in Southern Oregon and are also very excited for us to adopt a child.

We feel confident that God is in control. Our relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, is the foundation of our lives, individually and as a family. We are involved in a loving church that teaches the truths from God's Word.
