Dear Birthmother,

We hope to share a glimpse of our loving, secure and fun family as you consider your child’s future.  Your child will always know his or her adoption story, how we became a family through adoption, and about you.  We are Roger & Tricia from California and we are thrilled to have an opportunity to adopt our first child.

About Us
We have been happily married for 16 years and our relationship has remained strong through various challenges, including infertility.  We love spending time with children and look forward to our next phase as parents. 

Two things you should know about us are that we love Christmas and Disney. Christmas is our favorite time of year.  Since we don’t have real snow in our community, we create our own “Winter Wonderland.” Children love to visit our home to see it all lit up. 
   
We love to decorate our home with Disney characters, make frequent trips to Disneyland, and visit Walt Disney World almost every year.  Although we do take others to Disneyland, we can’t wait to share the magic of riding “Dumbo” five times in a row with our own child!

Meet Roger
Roger is a great balance between being responsible and fun.  He provides for us by working in a local bank which allows him evenings and weekends off.   He is a compassionate, Godly man and loves to help others by serving on our church council, assisting family members and helping me run our household.  Roger is very creative, has a great sense of humor and loves to have fun.  He loves to paint, read, cook and work in our yard.  He always listens, supports me and makes me laugh.  I know he will make a great dad because he is a big kid himself.  The children of our friends and relatives flock to him.  He gets down on their level, listens to them and makes up funny names for them.  He loves to be active and silly with the kids in our lives and he loves the quiet moments too, like rocking our godson to sleep.

Meet Tricia
Tricia is a warm-hearted person who deeply cares for others, especially children.  She puts other’s needs before her own by giving gifts, baking and babysitting.  Tricia sees the best in others.   She loves to scrapbook our family memories, sing in the church choir, read, and plan our family vacations. Tricia is detail-oriented and nothing or no one is forgotten or left out.  She teaches pre-school at home so she can be home with our children.  She truly loves God and takes great care of me.

Our Home & Community in
Southern California
Our home is in a family-oriented neighborhood where the children walk to school together. Our house is a single-story, three bedroom home with a large playroom and backyard filled with play structures, swing set, play houses and plenty of room to roam.  One bedroom, featuring Winnie the Pooh and his friends, has already been set up as the nursery.
     
Our community has excellent resources to discover the world around us.  Our home is close to award-winning schools and fun parks.  We are minutes away from the beach, zoo, sea center, and mountains.  Education is important to us and we want to provide the best opportunities for your child to pursue his or her dreams.

Our Family & Faith
We are close to both sides of our family, many of whom live nearby.  We get together regularly to celebrate special occasions.  Our families are extremely supportive of us adopting and they are eager to meet their newest family member. 

We are active members of a non-denominational Christian church where we work with young children and meet with a small group of friends.

Our Pets
Daisy, Cinnamon and Hershey, our three bunnies, cannot wait for a new playmate. They are very kind and gentle with children.
