Dear Birthmother,

We are Rowdy and Melony! We are very excited about becoming first time parents through adoption. After learning we had infertility issues, we became closer through our faith and we decided that adoption would be a good way for us to start our family. Adoption isn’t new to our family and they are very supportive of our plans. Rowdy’s mom was a foster parent for years and Melony’s sister was adopted as a child.

About Us and Our Home
We live in rural Missouri, where we just moved into our new home. It has three bedrooms and plenty of space for playing. We’re only a couple of miles away from town; close to the local school, shopping and the park. We’re a fun-loving couple who enjoy doing many things together. Riding our ATV, baseball games, vacations, bowling, gardening and enjoying quiet nights at home alone or with friends and family. We love being outside and enjoy many types of animals. We have two miniature schnauzers, Gretchen and Sasha who enjoy going with us to our summer camping spot for fishing and swimming.

We both have flexible schedules when working and are able to take off when we choose. This allows us to enjoy time on the weekends, holidays and special occasions together with family and friends. Rowdy has his own electrical business. We also own and manage rental properties. Melony runs a daycare out of our home so she will be able to be a stay-at-home mom and spend more time with our child. She also has a side business making cakes for all occasions.

My Husband, Rowdy
Rowdy is a terrific man who treats me with love, respect and tenderness. He’s not afraid to do any task. He enjoys playing with our dogs, watching TV, surfing the net and being outdoors. His sense of humor is what really drew me to him, it’s so uplifting and he always makes me laugh! He is very laid back and children seem to gravitate to him. When I see him with children I know in my heart he will make a great father with all of his patients and caring nature.

My Wife, Melony
Melony is the most generous and loving person. She will go out of her way to help people in need. But always has time to relax and enjoy life with family and friends too. She likes baking, scrapbooking, gardening, reading and weekends with the girls at the lake.

I know she can’t wait to make personalized birthday cakes for our child, do creative craft projects and snuggle up and read a book together.  Melony runs a daycare out of our home, so she will be able to be a stay-at-home mom.

Our Family
Our family is very important to us. They live close by and we are a tight-knit family. We talk everyday and spend a lot of time together. Our families have always been supportive and they are excited about us adopting. We enjoy family trips and outings on a regular basis. Our families will be just as supportive of your child as we will be. As a family we know that children are the building blocks of the future and God’s little miracle.

Our Faith
We practice our faith within the Baptist church. We have grown up with strong values and traditions about family. We were taught about faith, respect, kindness and compassion for others. We want to share these same values and traditions with our children.

Our Promise
We want to provide financial stability, abundant love, nurturing and a supportive foundation for your child to grow up happy and to have a successful life. We are flexible about the style of adoption you want. We are open to letters, pictures and visits. If you prefer a less open adoption plan that’s okay too. We want you to be comfortable with your child’s adoption plan. And we will teach your child about how we became a family and about how very special you are to us.
