Providing the Support You Need In Choosing Your Child's Future Help and Support for Pregnant Women

Adoptive parents, Samuel and Lois.

Dear Birthmother,

We are so thankful you are giving us the chance to become mama and daddy, a dream we've long had. We promise to love and cherish your child unconditionally.
We've not been able to have a biological child, so we're very excited about having a baby in our home.

Our Time Together
Samuel and Lois out for a bike ride. We've been married a number of years and have a very happy marriage. Our relationship is worth more to us than anything else on this earth and we can't imagine life without each other. We love to sit down in the evenings and sing together. Traveling together is lots of fun and we have plenty of opportunity with family and friends all over the US. We spend 2 weeks every year in Lois's home state of Pennsylvania. Relaxing at zoos and museums, hiking in the mountains, camping by the river, picnics with friends, doing yard and farm work together are activities we enjoy.

Our Home
We live in the country on 84 acres, of which 40 acres are fishponds. On a hill overlooking our ponds we built a large shed and converted half of it into cozy living quarters. Our plans are to build a house in the near future. Nearby is a wooded area with lusHome on a hill.h, green trees where the birds, that we love and cater to, make their homes. Lots of trees, water, and wildlife make the area in which we live very attractive.

Our Pets
Buddy, our Labrador Retriever, loves children and rides with Samuel every chance he gets. Our cat, Kitty, is very motherly and regularly has kittens.

Samuel, written by Lois
Samuel teaching Sunday school.Samuel is truly my beloved companion. His patience, talents, and love for children attracted me to him right away. Seeing him take the time with his nieces and nephews to play ball, push them on the merry-go-round, hold, hug, and kiss them has convinced me he'll be a wonderful daddy. Samuel raises catfish and farms over 500 acres of corn and cotton with his brother on his dad's farm. Church means a lot to him. He teaches Sunday school to young children, helps with our gospel literature program, and loves to sing. Hearing him break into a song is a treat I hear every day. He's lead singing in Summer Bible School numerous times and has taught music at our Christian school the last 3 years. Reading, roller blading, and playing with Buddy are some favorite past times of his. As a farmer, he is home for lunch every day, and our child will be able to spend lots of time with him.

Lois loves to sew.Lois, written by Samuel
I am very thankful to God for bringing Lois and I together. Her strong, upbeat, and positive ways have often been a great help to me. She is also an outgoing person who makes friends easily, especially with children. I see in her the qualities and the strong motherly instinct it takes to make a good mama. She was a school teacher before we were married, and while teaching in Mississippi we met and fell in love. She has no outside job now but spends her time keeping the home fires burning and helping wherever she can. She teaches a Bible Study class to children, volunteers in several church outreach programs, and aids at our local hospital several times a month. She baby-sits our nieces and nephews quite often and loves doing it. She is a real bookworm and doesn't go anywhere without something to read! She also enjoys sewing, baking, walking, and tending her flowers.

Family Support
We both come from large families that support us and are very excited for us. We spend a lot of time together and celebrate birthdays and holidays with singing, games, and gift giving. Our parents are both missionaries right now, but both will be home shortly, ready to love our new baby. Three of our nieces and nephews are adopted and that has brought positive influence in our decision.

Lois and Samuel roller blading.Belief in God
We both share a strong belief in God and will endeavor to bring our child up with good principles.
