Dear Birthmother,

We are Scott and Rebecca. We have always looked forward to the blessing of a child in our lives. Due to infertility we have chosen to build our family through adoption.

We met in high school, and married a few years later. It has been an amazing five years of marriage. We have a wonderful secure relationship, and have spent the last five years making it stronger.

Our home is full of love and laughter. We enjoy spending time together watching movies, playing games, and experiencing the local culture. We also love to travel and explore new places. Our travels have included the U.S., Europe, Asia and most recently Hawaii and Australia.

Scott is an engineer in the U.S. Navy. Scott's career has provided us with the ability to live all over the U.S., and the world. Rebecca is a government contractor; she only works 6 days a month and she can't wait to stay home with the baby.

About Scott by Rebecca
I was immediately drawn to Scott's amazing smile and great personality. He is my best friend, and I feel blessed to have him as a part of my life. I know that Scott will be a great father; he is dedicated to providing for his family, and is a very caring and understanding person. Not to mention he is a big kid at heart. He enjoys snowboarding, golfing, and fishing. Scott especially loves Lego's and K'nexs and is looking forward to having a child to help him build boats, cities, and anything else they can dream up.

About Rebecca by Scott
I can't imagine my life without Rebecca. I loved her from the moment I met her. She is the most caring, compassionate, and understanding person I have ever met. She has been supportive in everything I have done from joining the Navy to moving to Japan to further my career. Rebecca has always dreamed of being a mother, and I believe that she will make a great one. She enjoys skiing, traveling, trying exotic foods, and of course shopping.

About Our Home
We live in beautiful Japan on a military base with views of the Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji. Our base is very child friendly, and we can't wait to take part in all of the activities. We also have a beautiful park and playground right in our backyard. We have two cats, Gracie and Katie, who like to snuggle and be loved.

We are looking forward to becoming parents, and couldn't wait to start decorating the nursery. The nursery is complete and we are so excited to fill the nursery with a child's laughter.

Our Faith
We attend a nondenominational Christian church. We are excited to raise our child in the church and share our love of God. Our faith in God has made us secure in knowing that there is a special child waiting just for us.

Our Family
We are very close to our families, and talk to them a few times a week. We have many family traditions we hope to incorporate into our family, such as Birthday Sunday, a family get together to celebrate every birthday of the month. Another family tradition we look forward to is baking cookies around Christmas time.

Adoption has become a very special part of our families. We have two nieces that are adopted, and Rebecca's cousin is also adopted.

Since we live far from home, we consider our great circle of friends a part of our family. They are a large support system in our lives. Their children can't wait to play with the baby!
