Dear Birthmother,

We are a Christian couple from Southeast Texas.  God has brought us together and blessed us with close family and friends.  We appreciate the opportunity to tell you more about our lives.

About Us
We met after attending a local hockey game about four years ago.  We were married exactly one year later and attended a game that night.  We share the same values and have a loving, nurturing home.  As a couple we like to have fun and spend many nights just laughing. 

Scott is a chemical engineer and Vicki is now a stay at home mom after a career as accountant.  Scott has a daughter from a previous marriage and Melissa is with us on a regular basis.  Due to unknown infertility issues, we have not been blessed with other children.  God has put it on our hearts to adopt a child and give him/her all the wonderful things that we have been given.

About Scott by Vicki
He is a fantastic father to his daughter.   Scott makes a point to attend all her school functions and has been her soccer coach for the past three seasons.   He works fifteen minutes from the house and is home usually by 5:00 to help me with dinner.  My niece and nephews love coming over and playing games and climbing trees with Uncle Scott. 

He also plays soccer with some friends from work once a week.  He loves all sports and is always willing to help out a friend or family with a home improvement project.

Scott has led me to try new things.  He always supports me in all my decisions no matter if we agree or not.   I love the fact that he never lets me take my self too seriously. 

About Vicki by Scott
I love listening to Vicki’s voice, and her passion and intellect are both refreshing and challenging.  She is very strong and independent, but is adapting to her new role as a stay-at-home mother very well.  I thoroughly enjoy spending time with her as we enjoy many of our common interests (sports, Renaissance Fairs and lazy evenings at the house). 

Vicki loves to bake and is learning (even though she won’t admit it) that she is a good cook too.  She and Melissa often work on baking projects together for school or church functions or just for family get together.

I have grown and matured since meeting Vicki.  She makes me a better man and challenges me to want to become even better.  She has taught me to handle conflicts more directly.  I look forward to rearing a child with her knowing that we will work together to provide a loving home and nurturing environment.   

About Our Home
We have moved back to Vicki’s home town and live within minutes of her parents.  Our home has four bedrooms and sits on a quarter of an acre with a room ready to be a nursery.   There are two large oak trees that Scott and the nephews like to climb.  We live in the suburbs of a large city and are just 30 minutes from the local beach.

About Our Family and Faith
We attend the local Baptist church and participate in bible studies on a weekly basis.  We believe that a personal relationship with God is vital to having a strong family.  Melissa loves going to church and is beginning to really develop an understanding of who God is and why He is important.

Melissa helps Vicki with the cooking and is learning the piano from Vicki as well.  Melissa is very excited about having a sibling and has been helping set up the nursery.  Vicki’s parents have pool parties on a regular basis during the summer and all the family attends.  We also have a large Christmas dinner and we all bring something.  Scott’s family is only two hours away and we see them usually once a month. 

Our Promise to You
We can promise that we will raise your child to love and respect God and others.  We will encourage participation in church and extra-curricular activities and pursuit of higher education.  Above all, we will provide a house full of unconditional love and Christian morals.
