Dear Birthmother,

Hello from Japan! We’re Seth and Zoe, and we’ve been married for five fantastic years. We’ve always looked forward to becoming parents, and we are thrilled that God has led us to adoption after our struggles with infertility. We have been praying for a baby for years, and can’t wait to meet the little one that God has planned for our family.

About Us
We’re both in our late 20s, and are adventurous and fun-loving. Some of our favorite pastimes are taking day trips to explore new places, inviting friends over for dinner and board games, taking long evening walks, and making plans for our future, or curling up on the couch to watch a good old movie together. We’re best friends, and just enjoy hanging out together.

Seth is an aircraft mechanic for Marine Corps fighter jets, and we are currently stationed in Japan. We love our life in the military, taking advantage of the many opportunities for travel, and the chance to make friends from all over the world. It is a great life, and we love it!

We’re both committed Christians, and believe wholeheartedly that God has a plan and a purpose for our lives. We’re so excited about raising our family in the love and nurture of a Christ-centered home, and sharing God’s love and grace with our children. We are active in our church, attending on Sunday as well as mid-week Bible studies.

We love celebrating holidays. Each year we make a special occasion of going to choose a Christmas tree, and we enjoy collecting ornaments from the various places we’ve lived and visited. The 4th of July is another favorite holiday for us. We love getting together with friends for a picnic or barbecue, and waiting for dark to watch fireworks.

About Seth
Seth is my knight in shining armor. He is my very best friend and I just love him to pieces. I was drawn to him by his love for the Lord, his strong sense of integrity and honor, and his goofy sense of humor. I think he’s the best husband in the world, and I’m so glad to be his wife.

He enjoys golfing, home improvement projects, and woodworking (he is building a 16 foot sailboat!) He’s fun-loving and makes me laugh every day. He’s been looking forward to being a daddy for a long time, and I know he will be a great one. He is really a big kid at heart!

About Zoe
Zoe is a wonderfully kind and gracious person, and I was first attracted to Zoe because of her gentleness towards others. I love being married to her, and my time with her is the most enjoyable and most satisfying part of my life.

Zoe is a great homemaker who is superb at making a house feel like a home. She will be a fantastic mother who fills our children’s lives with love, fun, and joy. She will enjoy taking them for walks, teaching them as they grow, and sharing her life and love with them.

Our Home
We live on an American military base in Japan. Our home is spacious and comfortable, warm and welcoming, with three bedrooms and two baths. We have views from our windows of the surrounding Japanese mountains in the distance. The base is incredibly safe and child-friendly. Families from all over the base come to play at the playground just outside our front door.
