Adoptive parents, Steve and Gigi

Dear Birthmother,

We are thrilled you are taking the time to read our letter.  We are so looking forward to building a family and feel very fortunate you are considering us as potential parents.

About Us
We’ve been married for almost ten years, and together for twelve. We have always wanted children. Due to infertility issues, we could not conceive a biological child.  Steve plays pro golfWe chose not to pursue any of the options offered by modern medicine, as we firmly believe we are fortunate enough and destined to adopt a child.  We have lots of love, patience, fun times and smiles ahead to give our future family member.  We consider it a true privilege to have this opportunity.

We are very athletic; we both excelled at high school sports and continue to do so in our adult life.  Gigi played collegiate tennis and Steve plays professional golf when his schedule allows.  We love to workout and have recently taken up yoga and Latin dance classes together.  We love hiking with our dog Wilson and his two neighborhood buddies, Marcello and Daisy.  We enjoy reading, catching the latest movies, traveling to exotic places, and cooking healthy recipes. Steve has climbed mountains on three continents and been a mountaineering guide in South America. Gigi is a tennis instructor Gigi has visited ancient Peruvian ruins, and played soccer in an old Mayan village.  We have kayaked with whales, sailed the Grenadine Islands, and more recently managed to assemble a 12 foot plastic water slide set for our many nieces and nephews – now that was a real adventure!  We are very curious about the world we live in and enjoy making new friends and sharing our life experiences.

Education
We both have four year college degrees, with Steve holding an additional Master’s degree inGigi and Steve on a bike ride Business Administration. We believe education and life experience are keys to intellectual and social development.  Our future child will have access to high performing private and public schools in our area.  We will provide our child with a college education. We also unconditionally support any vocation/life dream that does not involve college.  Little ballerinas, mechanics, or hair stylists are fine by us!  We will do what it takes to help along any special gifts or interests.

Occupations
Steve is a consultant in the biotechnology industry and Gigi is a tennis instructor and Internet business owner.  We are both able to create our own schedules. Eventually, the plan is for Gigi to cut back on work hours and become a full-time stay at home mom.  We plan on being very present in our child’s life and always there for them.

Steve and Gigi's home in CaliforniaHome
Our neighborhood in Northern California is full of kids.  Our gated community has monthly events and a full slate of activities for little ones. We have easy access to regional parks, playgrounds, pools, lakes, beaches, soccer fields, tennis courts, golf courses, museums, theaters, art centers, etc.

We have a spacious home with a large grassy backyard and a pool. One of our four bedrooms will soon be converted into a nursery/bedroom for the future arrival.  Our other roommate is Wilson, our three year old dog. He is 15 pounds and very gentle and loving with adults and children.

Family
We are surrounded by family and friends who are positive, happy, good natured and willing to participate in the development of a healthy and happy child. We regularly take turns spending time with each side during major holidays, birthdays, milestones, and just because.

We deeply respect knowledge and heritage and feel it is important to know ones roots. We would like our future child to know their birth mother.  We are open to sending letters and photos and possibly occasional visits.

Steve and Gigi are excited to adopt!Faith
Gigi is a baptized Catholic and Steve is spiritual but not linked to an organized religion. We were married in the Catholic Church and agree Catholicism provides a great foundation by which a child can start a spiritual life.  We believe as he/she matures however, they will decide their religious path.

We will do everything to instill compassion, humility, kindness, and understanding towards all living things.  The chance to raise a really good human and a productive member of society is our end goal. We are down to earth and enjoy a peaceful, non-judgmental approach towards living life. We hope to share this philosophy with our future child.
