Adoptive parents, Steve and Regina

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.  We’re Steve and Regina, a devoted Catholic couple excited to become first-time parents.  We feel blessed that after experiencing infertility God has led us to adoption.  Our hearts were open to adoption even before we’re married.  Regina’s mom and aunt were adopted and they grew up with loving parents.  Sharing our life with a child will bring even more joy, love, and laughter in our lives.

Steve and Regina have a strong marriageAbout Us
We met over 14 years ago through church.  After years of friendship, we fell in love and we’ve been happily married for five years.  We have a strong marriage based on love, respect, understanding, and teamwork.

We love to travel, take long scenic drives, and explore new cultures – adventures we want to continue as a family.  We cherish quality time at home cuddling on the couch talking or watching TV/movies. Photography is our shared hobby so we take pictures of everything!  We can’t wait to capture all the special moments in your child’s life. We’ll be glad to share our photos with you, if you’re comfortable.

We plan to take turns taking a few months off to be home with the baby.  Regina also started an Event Planning business to have the flexibility to work at home in the future.

Regina is an excellent cook!My wife, Regina…
is the love of my life and my confidant.  She’s always smiling, cheerful, and positive.  Her patience, calm nature, and gentleness are qualities that make her excellent with children and she’ll be an amazing mom.

Regina works as a health educator for a not-for-profit organization. Her creativity and attention to details also make her an awesome event planner.  She’s an unbelievable cook and surprises me with my favorite food.  Regina enjoys hosting family gatherings and planning birthday parties for our friends’ children.  She loves photography, album design, and recently started blogging her favorite recipes online.

Steve has a passion for photographyMy husband, Steve…
is a humble man, a dedicated husband, and a hard worker.  His charisma and love for God makes me fall in love with him more each day.  He can be a shy person but children definitely bring out his silly side.  I love watching him interact with our niece and nephews.  Our friends’ children immediately run to “Uncle Steve” to play whenever we’re visiting.  He’s excited to be an involved dad and be a positive role model in our child’s life.

Steve is an Industrial Engineer at a manufacturing company.  He plays the piano and often leads Bible study groups. He has a passion for photography, traveling, snorkeling, watching sports, and going to the movies.

Steve and Regina's home in Southern CaliforniaOur Home in California
Our house is a charming one-story home with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.  We have a cozy living room, family room, and a large backyard.  The kitchen is a favorite spot where lots of home-cooking and family gatherings happen.

We live on a cul-de-sac in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood.  We’re close to schools, parks, the library, and being in Southern California, there are many fun amusement parks to visit.

Steve and Regina's family are thrilled about their adoption plansOur Family and Faith
We have a close-knit group of family and friends.  Everyone is thrilled we’re adopting and eager to welcome and love your child.  Regina has two sisters and brothers-in-law and Steve has one brother.  We’re blessed with four adorable nephews and niece and seven godchildren.  Regina’s parents live twenty minutes away and Steve’s mom lives with us.  Steve’s dad works as a doctor in Indonesia and visits during Christmas.  Both of us are Indonesian and respect our Chinese traditions.  We’re excited to incorporate your child’s culture as part of our family’s tradition as well.  We celebrate special occasions like birthdays, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Chinese New Year.

Our Catholic faith is the center of our marriage and daily life.  We attend Mass and a prayer group weekly.  Regina’s involved in Women’s Bible study.  We believe having faith and a strong spiritual foundation is important and will guide our child throughout his or her life.

Steve and Regina are excited to adopt! Our Promise
