Dear Birthmother,

We are Ted and Kristin, best friends who married ten years ago and continue to fall more in love every day. After several pregnancy losses and unexplained infertility, we've recognized God's plan for us to adopt. We are incredibly excited and honored that you are considering us to raise your child.

About Us…
Ted is a career Army officer and Kristin will be a stay-at-home mom.
We believe that a quality education is important and we promise to provide that for your child.  Ted's stable income enabled us to begin saving for your child's future long ago.

We grew up in homes with both of our parents and where having dinner together was a normal occurrence. Our childhoods were filled with wonderful traditions, like Christmas cookie baking, leaving cookies out for Santa, Easter baskets full of surprises, and summer vacations filled with days at the beach or in the mountains. We are so excited to continue on with all of these wonderful traditions.

Our dog "Rabbit" is a sweet and gentle black lab and is great with children.

About Kristin, by Ted…
It’s no surprise that I fell in love with Kristin instantly. Kristin has the unique ability to walk into a room of strangers and come out with a dozen new friends. In many cases, these friends become an extended family and Kristin remains connected to them throughout our travels.

Always upbeat and optimistic, Kristin makes the people around her happy wherever we go. I know of no other person who is capable of being as compassionate and selfless as Kristin. Whether it's making herself available for the friends and family who frequently seek her advice or the extensive volunteering at church she loves so much, Kristin knows no limits when it comes to giving of herself to others. She is exceptionally close to our nieces and nephews. Because of these qualities, I cannot imagine anyone better suited for motherhood.

About Ted, by Kristin…
Each day I fall more in love with Ted. I have never met anyone who is more compassionate, thoughtful, or loving. He is a wonderful uncle, playing whatever our nieces and nephews suggest, whether it be video games, swimming, or watching “Star Wars” three times in a row!

I truly respect Ted, as do others the moment that they meet him. He has the ability to lead hundreds of soldiers, and then come home to me and be silly, loving, and totally down to earth. Everyone instantly feels comfortable with him because he is such a warm, genuine, and sincere person. One of the things that attracted me to Ted is how much he truly listens and cares. People often feel “safer” with Ted around. He has the ability to make me, and those around him, feel secure.

Ted was an only child and his dad was extremely involved in his life; from being a Boy Scout leader, to coaching Ted’s little league teams, to never missing high school swim meets. His dad was a world-class role-model. I believe with all my heart that Ted will make an amazing father and it’s something I’ve known to be Ted’s desire from the day we met.

Our Family…
We have a large family and many friends who are excited to welcome your child. We have seven nieces and nephews and thirty first cousins who we truly enjoy and who we are very close with. They are really excited to play with another cousin! This past Christmas, Kristin’s aunt had a huge family gathering of about seventy people. On several occasions we’ve been blessed to merge our families at the same events, and that has been wonderful.

Our Home…
We currently live on a military base in Seoul, South Korea. Our neighborhood is incredibly safe and kid-friendly with a laughter-filled playground just beyond our patio. While we live in our own little slice of America with swimming pools, movie theaters, and schools, beyond the gates lies another culture waiting to be explored.
