Dear Birthmother,

Hello! I am very excited to become a first-time parent through adoption. God has blessed my life in many ways. One of the most obvious is my love for children, and the desire to be a mother.

Family, Friends, and Faith
Although my family lives in another state, we are very close. I talk several times a week to my mom and sister. Because I am a teacher, I have every summer off and enjoy going back “home” to be with family in the Midwest. Living in Southern California is great. There are so many opportunities and experiences to enjoy. But, being raised in the country, I look forward to having my family experience country life as well. I plan to continue to spend summers “back home” surrounded by green grass, open fields, sand boxes, camping in the back yard, and especially family.

I have been blessed with some great friendships. My friends are my family away from home. I have friends that share a common faith and the importance of enjoying the simple things in life. We listen, encourage and support each other. They too, are excited for me to adopt a child. I will be surrounded by an incredible support group.

I am a kindergarten teacher in a Christian school. I am very young at heart, love to laugh, and enjoy the simple things in life.

Being surrounded by children every day is very rewarding. Because I am single, I will continue to teach. I live within walking distance to the school, so it is very convenient. I know I will usually have my evenings, weekends, and holidays off, and the entire summer to spend with your child. Your child will have an excellent Christian education in a private school.

My faith in God is the foundation of my life. God is my Rock. When things are uncertain, I lean on Him. He always knows what is best. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your path.” That is one of my favorite scriptures. I will raise a child to know the love of their Savior, and His unconditional love for each of us.

Leisure Time
I enjoy being outdoors. When I get the chance, I love to be on the lakes, riding a jet ski or just cruise around in the boat. I also enjoy trips to the beach, hanging out with my friends, reading at the bookstore, or just staying home and relaxing. I spend a lot of time with my friends’ kids, either babysitting or entertaining them. I also enjoy musicals, theatre, and watching movies.

In Closing
My dream has always been to be a mother. I have known for many years that I would adopt. My family and close friends have heard me talk for years about this, and have always supported and encouraged me. I am so excited to take this step in my life to become a mother through adoption.

My childhood was incredible-filled with memories, love, family, outdoors and just the chance to be a child. Creating lasting memories and a home filled with love is what I plan to give your child. I am open in the future to visits with you and want to share pictures and letters if you desire.
