Dear Birthmother,

We are Tim and Vernacheal, and we sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this letter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you seek the right loving family for your child.

Tim and Vernacheal having fun raftingOur Story…
From the moment we met at work we knew our relationship was an answer to prayer. Vernacheal had prayed for a man like Tim, who would love God, love her more than himself, and love her daughter as his own.

We became best friends, and today our relationship feels like a fairy tale.

We have been married eleven years.  We have a 20-year-old daughter living on her own and attending college.  For several years we were guardians of our niece and nephew, and we just finished six months of guardianship of three other nieces and a nephew.  We have both loved, led, and nurtured children for many years.  Our whole lives have been all about kids, and our greatest desire now is to become parents again by adopting a child.

Together we enjoy building family memories by traveling, tent-camping, bike-riding, walking, and hosting family get-togethers at our house for our large extended family. We both also enjoy leading children’s programs such as choir, band, Worship-in-Motion, boy’s and girl’s clubs,  and Sunday School at our church.  We love to laugh and simply have fun in everything that we do.

Vernacheal is outgoing and energeticTim Says…
Vernacheal is outgoing and energetic. At work she is a caring, encouraging and an effective leader. At church she is fun-loving, and task-oriented to lead the children in activities. Children of all ages absolutely love Vernacheal – she has that kind of personality that makes children flock to her.  At home she likes to relax and spend quality time with her family. She enjoys cooking and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoys playing family games.

Tim is a retired elementary school teacherVernacheal Says…
God heard every prayer I prayed and was thinking about me when He created Tim. Tim is everything I need. I remember the first day I entered his classroom. I could see how much the children loved him and he loved them. Then I had the privilege of working as his assistant and heard him pray before we started the work day. I remember thinking, “He’s going to make someone a wonderful husband some day.”  Tim was devoted to his students, and though he’s retired from the school district he continues to teach in our home and church.

Tim is great with technology and is a great help to me in leading worship. He can always find a way to make my ideas happen. Tim has been very instrumental in making our home a place where people enjoy coming. He assists with cooking, cleaning and playing. When God made Tim, dreams came true for me.

Tim and Vernacheal have a large playhouse and swing set in their back yardOur Home in South Carolina…
Our house is in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors, and the sounds of kids playing.  We are just outside the city limit, so yards are large, and the houses are spread out.  There are always many sights and sounds of nature such as fireflies and owls, nearby.  Our home is a five bedroom, one level ranch with a large yard.  We have a playroom with hundreds of children’s books inside, and a large playhouse and swing set outside.

Church and spirituality are very central to our lives.  We have been very blessed with love, health and family.  We believe it is important to teach Christian values and morals to our children so that they can have a strong foundation and a life of blessings.  We have so much love, opportunity, and security to give, and we are looking forward to sharing that with a child for years to come.  We plan to encourage your child to be a strong, independent, hard-working, happy and responsible person.  We believe that open communication is extremely important in a family, and we will strive for that each day.
