Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know more about us and allowing us to give you a glimpse of what life is like in our family.  We have always welcomed the idea of adoption since we knew we would face some fertility issues.  We are very excited to become first-time parents and welcome a child into our home.

About Us
We are not your average couple.  We met online six years ago and got married in Maui, Hawaii.  We are each other’s best friend and do everything together. 

We enjoy traveling, hiking, and going to concerts, plays, and movies.  We are huge animal lovers and enjoy taking our dogs to the dog park. Tye is a Physician Assistant and Darci will be a stay-at-home mom. 

About Darci
There are many reasons why I love and respect my wife.  She is quite possibly the most understanding and supportive person I know.  It does not matter what the idea, she is and has always been there to back me up.
 
Darci is outgoing, friendly and knows how to roll with the punches.  She handles stress well and can adjust to change without blinking an eye!  Darci LOVES kids and is absolutely great with them.  She has an uncanny ability to be their friend, as well as a mother figure.  Kids gravitate to her, as she gravitates toward them.  I can not wait to watch her with our children!!

Darci is very funny, loves to laugh and when at a party often she is the life of the party!  Darci also loves animals and is great at taking care of our furry friends.

About Tye
Tye is full of life and laughter.  There is never a dull moment when he is around! This is one of the things I love most about him.  He is light-hearted and enjoys entertaining our nieces and nephews every chance he can.  He is going to be a fun-loving and wonderful father!

Tye is a very hard-working person. He always has a project he is working on, whether it is painting, landscaping, or installing new lights.  He loves music: he downloads new songs all the time and is always introducing me to great new bands!  

I admire that Tye has always known what he wanted to do with his life.  From a young age, he always knew he wanted to work in the medical field and worked hard to get there.  He loves helping people overcome problems and is very respectful of people in general.

Our Home and Neighborhood
We live in a quiet suburb that is 20 miles from the downtown area and also about 20 miles from the beach!  We have a large two-story home with four bedrooms and three and a half baths. We also have a large game room upstairs that is perfect for children!  We have a neighborhood swimming pool, park and tennis court.  

Our Family
Adoption is very close to our hearts, as Tye’s older sister was adopted.  She is very supportive about our decision and so is the rest of our family.  We are both very close to our nieces and nephews and enjoy every moment that we get to spend with them.  Even though the majority of our relatives reside out of state, we make it a point to always get together for holidays and vacations.  Everyone is excited to welcome a new member of the family!

Our Pets
We have two female dogs. One is a golden retriever that is nine years old.  Her name is Sierra and she loves kids!  Our nieces and nephews have all grown up around her and she is great with them. 

Our other dog, Piper, is a border collie/lab mix and she is the princess of the house!  She likes to sleep on pillows and cuddle with us every chance she can. 

Our Promise to You
We promise to always be open with our child about their adoption story and how our family came to be.  We also promise to provide a loving, safe and fun-filled home for our child.  If you desire, we are open to providing letters, photos and more.
