Adoptive parents, Gayle and Warren

Dear Birthmother,

Hi! We are Gayle and Warren. We hope our story gives you the information you need to help you determine if we could offer your precious baby the kind of life that you would want for them.

We’ve been married for 10 years.  We have strong family relationships; and an appreciation for pursing creativity, education and dreams. We are grounded in our lives by our faith in God.

Gayle and Warren both love to travelAbout Us
We both love to travel, enjoy Jazz, and R&B. We both love to be outside (especially at the beach).   Most importantly, we both share a strong Christian faith which is the foundation of our lives together.

While we have many things in common, we also have our differences.  For instance, Gayle is more private, Warren is more social; Gayle enjoys reading, Warren doesn’t; and our sense of humor is very different…which keeps us laughing.

Together we enjoy hanging out together, exercising, museums, art galleries, travel, and playing with our dog.

We are both professionals, financially secure and responsible.  We travel and explore whenever we can.  Our house is full of laughter, music, storytelling, Warren’s paintings, learning….and Bach, our Old English sheepdog (the friendliest, most loveable dog you could ever meet)!

Gayle was born in California into an Air Force family with two sisters. Our family traveled around the country until she was thirteen, then settled in Northern California.  Her family was very close and had lots of fun, including family camping trips, ski trips, bike riding, and big family gatherings.  Our family was taught to love and respect each other, take responsibility; and to love learning/exploring. Gayle’s dad instilled in her the idea that we should all strive to achieve beyond our circumstances, despite what the world would tell us. After graduating from high school, she went on to college to get an engineering degree. One master’s degree, three jobs, lots of fun; and 10 years later, she met Warren.

Warren comes from a family of five, two sisters and a brother.  He grew up in Kansas enjoying lots of football in the fall, lots of snow in the winter, and lots of swimming in the summer. He was closest to his mother, who taught him to cook, sew, and laugh, more importantly, she taught him about his faith. In college, Warren studied business and graphic design. Combining his art and business background, he is now the principle designer at a software company. Warren has a wonderful smile, but behind that smile is a great heart. He is kind, funny, and very creative.

Warren and Gayle live south of L.A.Our Home
We live in a community just south of Los Angeles, California.  Our home is in a quiet suburb on a large cul-de-sac, with a lot of kids in the neighborhood. We live in the suburb where we enjoy quiet times, but we also love the city.  We’ll often look for opportunities to get into the city to see some jazz, a ballet, or check out an art fair or museum. We are very close to our family, spending almost all of the holidays and as many birthdays as we can with them.

Warren and Gayle's families are excited for them to adopt! Our Path to Adoption
When we got married ten years ago, we always assumed we would have children.  As time passed, and we weren’t getting pregnant, we tried infertility treatments, but that didn’t work either.  We prayed about it and decided to leave it in God’s hands.  One of our favorite verses says, “Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge God, and He will direct your path”.  So, we decide that God had a plan for us and our family; and that we would trust Him with it.  We are trusting that adoption is the path that He has chosen for us, and we are thrilled!  We have so much love, and comfort to offer a little one.  We can’t wait to give them all that we have.

We hope that this gives you an idea of who we are, and what kind of life we have to offer the child that we adopt.  It is our sincere hope that this matches what you would want for your unborn one (or two!) We are open to keeping in touch in the future through letters, photos, and visits.
