About Me
I have lived in Southern California my entire life. I have always wanted to be a parent but wanted to wait until I was ready to fully dedicate myself to raising a well rounded child. I am looking forward to becoming a first-time mom through adoption. Although I am single I will not be parenting alone. My mother lives with me and she is retired and looking forward to a second grandchild. I also have the support of family and friends who are also excited about me becoming a mom.

My Family
I have one brother who has a son; they live only 10 minutes away. My nephew is very much a part of my life. He has just entered middle school. My father still lives in the house I was raised in which is an hour drive away. I have a large extended family since both of my parents are from large families. Family celebrations with cousins, aunts, and uncles are celebrated yearly. Vacation time is also a time to catch up with family. My mother and I visit relatives out of state or they come to visit us here.

At Work
I currently work at an elementary school as a teacher on special assignment. I am one of two coordinators at my school. We help the teachers in various ways from organizing our reading program to testing throughout the year for the entire school. I hold a Master's degree in Education. Before I started this position I was in the classroom for 10 years. I taught first grade for 8 years and third grade for two. My years of teaching have allowed me the opportunity to nourish children's minds and instill in them the need to respect themselves and others.

At Home
I have lived in my current home for six years. It is in a fairly new residential community in California. It is very family friendly. There is an elementary school within walking distance of my home. There is a large park that host soccer games, has a large play area, tennis courts and covered eating areas that are well suited for birthday parties. I have five bedrooms and three bathrooms. I also have a pool, which has an alarm system to make swimming and playing a safer experience. Many new retail and recreational business have opened within the last two years providing opportunities to go out into the community for walks and meet with friends and family.

My Faith
My faith is very important to me. I have been a Christian all my life. My beliefs will be shared with your child as they were shared with me early in childhood. I believe in practicing my Christianity daily not just on Sunday. My entire family will help in raising your child to trust in God and teach them the word of God from the Bible so that they will live their lives guided by His word.

Hobbies
I love to read. Currently I have been reading a lot of historical fiction. My tastes range from history, novels, biography, and religion. I love to listen to music. CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams are two of my favorite singers. Their music is a source of inspiration and allows me the opportunity to worship at any time. I also like to make arts and crafts projects and spend time decorating my home. My current goal is to learn how to paint. I have taken a course in the One Stroke painting technique and look forward to sharing my interests with your child.

The Future
With my immediate and extended family, I will make certain that your child grows up in a loving environment.
