Our Dream Came True!

Thank you so much for all you ladies have done to help us become a family!  When we first met you, we knew we would be taken care of.  We remember it like it was yesterday, at the information meeting, when our application had been approved we asked Heather, “Can you find us a baby?”  Without a moment’s hesitation, you said, “Absolutely yes!”  Perhaps one of my most treasured memories in this process was standing in the parking lot with you, and just talking about the waiting process.  I didn’t feel as if I was talking to “facilitators.”  I was talking to girlfriends who could understand what this felt like.  There was no false sympathy offered, but, rather, a deep empathy and constant encouragement as we waited for our call.  I remember us talking about how God was using that time to prepare us to be parents.  Little did I know then that the plan had already been put in motion and just a few months later, we would receive that blessed email from Lori alerting us to the fact that a birth mom wanted more information about us.

Lori, I can’t tell you how much I have appreciated your kindness and compassion!  Many times I wanted you to give me a sense of promise I knew you couldn’t give; instead, you gave us hope.  That hope allowed us to take another step when sometimes another step seemed too scary to take.  You were so quick to calm me down and give me reassurance yet reminded me to be level-headed and smart about a very emotional time. 

I must also thank you for recommending our attorney.  She was, and continues to be, so professional and WONDERFUL!  I really hope Lifetime sees her for the gem she is and recommends her to more adoptive families.  With very reasonable rates, a calm “can do” attitude and a deep commitment to bringing families together, she really should be utilized by more families.

Libby, you were our first contact with Lifetime on the chat line when we started searching for agencies and there you were the night Sam was born, again, on the chat line ready to answer any and all of our questions.  How appropriate it was for you to be the one to send us off to get our son!  You have been a shining star on this journey.  With your feedback, humor and prayers, you are truly an angel on Earth!

We are already chatting about when we might be able to take a mid-week drive and introduce to you Sam, our beloved son.  Thank you so much for bringing us together!  We appreciate you all for what you have done for us and what you continue to do for and with adoptive families and birth families!
