One Big Happy Family

Hi Amie,

Our family and Campbell's birthfamily all came for our Lifetime baby Campbell's and daughter Abby's baptisms...72 people in total all weekend! We have one big happy and blessed family. They were also here for Campbell's first birthday; we all stayed at Kimberley's grandparents' farm and Campbell's birthfamily got to see how we grew up. Now they are even closer! Amie, we can't begin to thank you for all you have done for us over the year. Campbell's birthmother and Kimberley would love to speak to other adoptive parents about our relationship.

Now that we have Campbell in our family...we are finally whole!

Priceless Memories

Hi Lori,

We hope that all are doing well.   Briana is growing like a weed! She weighs 27 pounds and is 35 inches talls. She loves to watch Dora, Diego, Dragon Tales, Caillou and Bob the Builder. She sings her ABC's although she only recognizes a few of them. She can count to 12 in English and Spanish.  She is picking up both languages!

She loves to play with balls, skate, play on her swing set, and go for a swim.  She is doing great on her swimming class. She does not scream anymore when the teaches put her underwater. She likes it now. She loves to eat chicken (chicken nuggets or drumsticks), white rice, pizza, ice cream and gummy bears.

Briana takes a song and adds her own words but keeps the beat of the original song. Sometimes she even dances to her song. She is funny! We are working on her potty training...we have had some progress.

We can't believe she is two and a a half years old. It seems like it was yesterday when we traveled to the Midwest to adopt her! We would love to adopt another child through Lifetime and keep praying that we can get the money to adopt again.

Beach Baby

Hi Veronica,

We wanted to share a recent picture of Jaxon on one of his first adventures.  This weekend Jaxon went to the beach for the first time and he had a blast!  Jaxon is now three months old.  He has such a mature spirit about him, everyone insists he has been here before: too funny! He definitely has some of the most interesting expressions we've have ever seen on a three month old - like he has a lot on his mind!  Too adorable.  Between his serious expressions and his wide happy smiles, we're just tickeled pink by him every day.

Jaxon also got to briefly see his birthmom this weekend.  Since she only lived 15 minutes from the beach, we took Jaxon by to see her before we headed home.  She was thrilled to see him and really appreciated the fact that we made the effort to have Jax visit with her.  She couldn't believe how big he has gotten and she was really happy to know that he is such a happy cheerful baby.

A Blessed Meeting

Hi D'Arce and Lifetime staff,

Our little blessing Silas is now three months old and we are having much fun going on adventures with him and experiencing the beauty of Hawaii with him.  Our daughter Raina turned eight last week and we all went on a catamaran ride. While Raina and her friends were squealing with excitement on each wave, Silas was fast asleep the entire time.  

Silas' best friend Nijel (a Lifetime baby, now eight months old) and his beautiful parents (and our best friends because of our adoption journey with Lifetime) Jennifer and Craig joined us.  We are so blessed to have them in our life and to share this journey together!

Adoption Joy!

Hi Veronica and all our Lifetime friends,

This picture was taken on Mother’s Day at the hospital.  Jacob Lee was three days old, and it was the first day we spent together, just the three of us, as a family.  We feel so blessed to have this baby.  He is very precious and sweet.   At two months now, he is smiling and cooing, and we think he is teething too!  Our daughter Ashley just adores him, and when she gets home in the evening, she scoops him up and loves on him.  We feel fortunate that we had time to get to know our birthmom.  She is a strong and wonderful person, and we have learned so much from this experience.  She will have a special place in our hearts, (and Jacob’s!)  forever.  She continues to email us, and we are thrilled to hear from her.  We pray that the contact continues, but take each moment as a gift.  God has been so good.  We look back on our journey and see His perfect timing and loving care with us and our birthmom.  Adoption has filled our hearts with joy!  We can never thank all of you enough for the support and help that you provided over the past nine months (it is so fun to say that we had a nine month adoption!).  The best way we know how is to send you pictures of Jacob as he grows.   God bless all of you.  The work that you do is awesome and appreciated!

Going Places

We are finally starting to settle in following our move, but the clear blue sunny skies were not what we expected. Apparently there is a record breaking heat wave here in Canada, makes the transition from California easier. We have yet to arrange swimming lessons for Sarah, but our friends lent us a wading pool, so for the time being, that is her favorite place to be!

Update on our two Lifetime girls...we keep in touch with Courtney's birthmom via Facebook and we email and text.  She got married a few months ago and is very happy with her hubby. She is in college and has a new full time job as well.  She also just ran a marathon recently.  She is doing just great!
 
The girls are getting so big - Ainsley is a little sassy pre-teen lately and Courtney is a naughty two and a half year old. Very curious and into everything!

How Sweet It Is

We want to thank you again for all you did for us! We love being parents to Timothy. He is a sweet, happy one year old and he brings lots of joy into our lives. He's walking, climbing and saying quite a few words. Tessa just loves being a big sister and is very protective of her baby brother! Words can't express our gratitude for your major role in bringing Timothy into our lives. You were wonderful not only to us but to our birth family too! We hear from Timothy's birth mom every couple of months via email. Thank you again for making us a family of four!

Hi Veronica,

We hope everyone at Lifetime had a great 4th of July.  Jaxon is now 10 weeks old!  He has changed so much it is unbelievable!  He was born only five pounds, four ounces and 19 inches and at his two month appointment he was a whopping twelve pounds, eight ounces and 24 inches long!  In two months Jaxon has gained over seven pounds and has grown almost five inches  -- the doctor wants to know what we are feeding him...and we said well there is the Similac you recommended and the rest is all the love we are giving him...the doctor laughed! We keep thinking he can't get any cuter, and every day he does.  Many many many thanks to you guys...and every chance we get we give Lifetime Adoption great raves!

Happiness Is...

Hi Lifetime! 

We just wanted to give you an update on our precious Eli Samuel.  He is off the charts in height and getting bigger every day!  He is absolutely the funniest kid we've ever known and we are having TONS of fun with him.  He couldn't be more loved and we are so incredibly thankful that God gave him to us.  We thank his birthmother for the greatest gift anyone could ever have given us and admire her bravery.  Thanks again for all you've done for us!

Our Wonderful Blessing

Dear Lifetime Family,

It is hard to believe that our baby Benjamin is now three months old! It still feels like yesterday when we contacted Lifetime Adoption to begin our adoption process. We were expecting the process to take a long time, but little did we know that God had other plans for our lives. We were still working on our profile when we received the call that Benjamin's birthmother was interested in us. From that point on, our live changed dramatically.

He was born a little early, but we were still able to take him home with us at three days old. Everything just fell into place and we couldn't have done it without the help of everyone at Lifetime Adoption! Our union couldn't have been a more perfect match. We thank God every day for his beautiful birthmother and the gift she gave us. He is such a wonderful baby and has provided our lives with so much joy, love, and happiness. To God be the Glory, for He still answers prayers!

Band of Brothers

Update on our two Lifetime sons: after months of football we took winter sports off and took it easy over the Christmas holiday only to swing into a very full spring. Both boys played spring baseball and boy were we busy - luckily the boys didn't have any games that overlapped.  Both played exceptionally well.  This was Matthew's first year in Little League kid pitch and he was knocking it into the outfield! This was Jordan's second year and while last year he had a little stage fright with the pitchers - he overcame it and was hitting really well.  He also pitched a few games, which is entirely too stressful for mom and dad! 

They spent Spring Break with grandma and grandpa touring old battleships, going to aquariums, and overall had a blast. Baseball, basketball, and summer fun has begun.  The boys will be in a summer camp with sports and game and tons of field trips so they are having a blast.  

Matthew is going to play football again this fall, but Jordan is going to play baseball.  For Halloween, Jordan went as a football player and Matthew as Captain Underpants (one of his favorite books!)  Christmas was spent at the beach house - the boys decorated gingerbread houses.

Forever Family

This picture is of the family that came to court with us for Aiden's adoption finalization! A lady was standing outside and kept saying that she couldn't believe this little boy was loved so much! She said he was blessed and then the entire family almost in unison all said "no, we are the blessed ones to have him."
 
We are so very thankful that God has put this beautiful little boy in our lives. All of the wait and the "what-if's" are now over. Aiden was officially ours forever! We're are such proud parents and we're so thankful to Lifetime for all the help provided and for playing such an important role in making us a family. We're also thankful to his birthmom who has been the biggest blessing of all to us. We love her so much and we're just so blessed! Thanks to God, we are very blessed with Aiden and his birthmom!

Robert is six months old!! He is wonderful, sweet natured, active, curious, and cuddly bundle of love. He is an amazing gift that renews us every day.  Words can not describe our joy and appreciation of our son, a gift from God.

Our Little Princesses

Anika just celebrated her fourth birthday and we have been concerned for her birthmother.  It feels so good to finally know that she is okay and that she is happy.  She is a part of our lives and we want the best for her always.

Ready, Set, Grow!

Dear Veronica and my Lifetime friends,

Mommy and daddy can’t believe I’m six months old already.  Despite having the flu for a few days, the doctor says I am a very healthy and growing girl.  He is impressed with how “verbal” and active I am.  I now weigh 16 pounds and I’m 25 inches long.  I am sitting up really well now, can scoot forward and backward on my tummy or back, have lots of things to say, am sleeping in my own room and have learned how to drink from a straw.  I love my new swing on the swing set in our backyard and have taken my first trip to the park and second trip to the zoo.  We celebrated Cinco de Mayo, Mommy’s first Mother’s Day and of course my half birthday this month.  For Mother’s Day, besides our “Chance of a Lifetime” meeting with another Lifetime adoptive family, we also visited a miniature horse farm and had a barbeque at my auntie's house.  Mommy and daddy discovered that I still have my sense of humor even when I am sick.  I’ve also been busy helping mom plan our summer vacation to Walt Disney World.

All Our Own

Just wanted to let you know that everything is going great! Emily's birthmom and her family came by and spent a few hours with us visiting. We invited them to come along to Emily's first check-up.  Emily checked out perfect; she didn't lose any birth weight and even gained six and a half ounces! 

We can't stop staring at Emily!  It feels like someone just placed the whole world in our arms.  We are soo in love with her Amie - we don't know how to fully explain it.  Thank you so much for everything!

Our Lifetime Boys

Hi Amie, Dee and Lifetime staff –

It has been just over four months since our newest miracle, Elijah, was born.  We received word today that his adoption is final and we are ecstatic.  Our family is now complete and we owe a world of thanks to Lifetime for bringing first Charlie and now Elijah into our lives.  Elijah is growing like a weed, smiling and laughing all the time and sleeping through most nights.  He melts everyone’s heart and we are all in love.

Time is just flying by! Aiden is six months old and into EVERYTHING! He's crawling all over the house exploring and pulling up on everything and trying his very best to walk. He pulls himself up and lets go and falls. He amazed the doctor yesterday with everything he can do. We're so proud of him! He's healthy and happy and that's all that matters. Aiden has brought so much joy to all of us.

Guess Who's Two?

Guess who turned two? How the time has flown by, it seems like we just brought her home. Now "Princess" Izabel has blossomed into a vibrant, energetic toddler. It's Final!
