Newly Adopted Lifetime Babies & Children

Laurine and Nico enjoying the ocean

Read All About It

We are enjoying the heat of the summer with our favorite "fish" Nico! He is totally loving the water and the pool. He is learning to kick, but still relies on his trusty floaty! Lately, he has been really getting into his books, often asking us to read the same book several times in a row! We caught him using the sign language symbol for "table" that he learned from a video! Quite a bright little guy!

Love,
Nick & Laurine

Hi Veronica,
We would like to personally thank you for all of the hard work and energy that you put into making our dream come true.  Morgan is a precious gift from God and we still pinch ourselves because it seems like a wonderful dream since we brought her home.  As I write this now, I am looking down at my beautiful baby girl who is sleeping peacefully.  Dreams do come true!

Seth Matteus is a blessing from above!

Be My Baby

Hi Veronica,

Words have no way of expressing the way I've been feeling this past week!  I am soo in love with my baby boy!  Throughout the "waiting period,"  I was the one assuring people "It will happen in God's time."  And it did!  So, celebrating with the angels, I'd like to introduce to you Seth Matteus!  He weighed eight pounds, six ounces, and was 20 inches long.  He is such a great baby.  I feel so BLESSED!  Lifetime, you are such a blessing!  Thank you!

Sarah's life is now all about running, skipping, jumping, and dancing

Dancing Through Life

Now that Sarah has determined that she has mastered the art of walking, she promptly dispensed with it entirely. Now life is about running, skipping, jumping and most important of all, dancing!

On rare occasions, Sarah does slow down for a while, and now that she has her first tea set, she really wants visitors to stop by for tea...

Logan is almost six months old and is into everything!

He's Our Heart & Soul

Hello Lifetime Family-

Our little boy is growing like crazy!  He'll soon be six months old, and I can hardly remember what life was like before him!  He's mastered rolling over and is working on scooting.

He reaches for any and everything that comes within his reach (including the dogs), and he can bounce all day long if your arms can stand the workout.  He has truly been a blessing to our family and friends, and has brought an enormous amount of happiness to our lives. Logan's birthmother is an angel, we can't say enough about her.  She played a very important role in making us parents, and we will be forever grateful.

We are hoping to finalize in July, and are anxious to legally make Logan our son, but spiritually Logan is already our son.  And we don't need any judge to tell us that.  And I encourage all those waiting families to hold on, this too shall pass.  And when you're able to hold that little one in your hands, it'll make all this waiting worthwhile.  Lifetime- thanks for your continued support!

Corey and Christine's baby, Sam

Our Dream Came True!

Dear Libby, Lori, and Heather:
We are so excited to announce that Sam’s adoption is final!  We had our adoption finalization hearing this morning and finally can breathe a deep sigh of relief knowing that we will, forever, be Samuel’s parents!

From a preemie weighing in at just over three pounds, to now a hefty 13 pound little boy, Sam is a perfect fit for our family!

We stay in touch with Sam’s birth mom, as we hear from her about once a month.  She continues to do well and is anxious to start school in October.  Being able to spend time with her and her family while she recuperated in the hospital gave us a wonderful opportunity.  We will never forget her grandmother turning to me saying, “well, congratulations!”  On Mother’s Day, Sam's birthmom phoned to wish Christine a happy Mother’s Day!  It was precious!

Chris and Adele's Lifetime blessing, Hayes

Baby Thanks You!

Thank you so much for the clothes, frame, baby sports balls, and the beautiful blanket you all gave us when we visited the Lifetime office with Hayes!

What an absolute joy it was to meet y'all and to introduce Hayes to you: the very people who brought us all together.

We are forever grateful to Lifetime Adoption: you are truly an instrument of God!

Xavier is quite the character!

The Magic of Everyday

We wanted to make sure you stayed updated on what is going on with Xavier or "X-man" as my family calls him! He’s two years old now and into everything! As you can see in his picture, he is quite the character.

He is so far ahead of children his age, it is uncanny. His vocabulary floors us because it is so vast for a child of two years. He loves to get read to and he picks out the books he likes to hear and can tell the story in some of them. Potty training…well…that is still a journey! We figure any child that can tell us where to find his pull-ups and wipes can tell us when he needs to use the potty.

He is in the get out of bed stage and crawl into ours in the middle of the night. There’s nothing like waking up to a foot in your back! Gotta love him! He absolutely loves the drums, so we get concerts each and every day. Christ is important to him as well. He knows how to say his grace. He says his prayers in the mornings. I overheard him praying one morning in his room by himself. He and his nanny sing Christian songs during the day; so much so that he can sing the lyrics alone.

He is absolutely and joy to us and everyone he comes in contact with. His friendly demeanor (as long as he hasn’t just gotten up from a nap) melts the heart. He is truly a blessing in our lives. He thoroughly enjoys the company of other kids. He plays well with our godchildren and other kids he meets while he and his nanny are at the park. Until next time, may God continue to bless you abundantly!

Sincerely,
Mike, Alonia and Xavier

Baby Jordan is growing so quickly!

Love at First Sight

We are so overjoyed with our second adoption, we just don't have the words for it.  We had barely finished the paperwork with Lifetime when we were matched with a wonderful birth mother!  She was about seven months pregnant when we spoke to her in January, and her baby was here by the end of March!  He was a week late, but that gave us time to travel and get settled in temporary housing, to spend some time getting to know our birth mother and her family, to attend an ultrasound appointment with her, and to prepare for the arrival of our son.

Jordan's birth was very special to us and we are so happy that we were at the hospital.  In fact, we were holding him when he was just a few minutes old!  Now we are back home and settling in with our new addition.  He is a such a happy baby.  We have a wonderful relationship with our birth mother and decided to create a website for our out-of-town family and friends, including our birth mother and her family, to follow along with Jordan as he grows.  Jordan weighed eight and a half pounds when he was born and even though he's just two months old, he is already tipping the scales at 14 pounds and is 25.5 inches long!

Our entire family is in love with this handsome little boy and we are so thankful to our birth mother for her selflessness and courage.  We also want to thank Diane, D'Arce and everyone at Lifetime for facilitating our adoption.  We can't imagine how the adoption process could have gone any more quickly or smoothly!

John and Corinne's Lifetime baby, Jennarose

The Miracle of Adoption

Dear Diane, Libby, Heidi, D'Arce, and all at Lifetime,

Thank you so much for your guidance that helped to bring Jennarose to our family.  Who would have thought that after waiting three and a half years for our first daughter to come to us, that our second baby would come home less then two and a half months after our second home study was completed?!  We thank God every day for the miracle and mystery of adoption as we hold our two daughters in our arms.

From the time we first read about Lifetime on the web, applying and being accepted, to visiting you in California, we felt progressively more comfortable with Lifetime.  We are grateful for your help both to us and to Jennarose's birthmom.  She told me about the recent care package you sent her, as she was thrilled with it.  I know she was also grateful for the fact that Diane called her back so quickly when she was trying to contact potential adoption professionals to help her place her baby.

With much appreciation and unending gratitude,
John and Corinne

The family at Ashton and Sidney's adoption finalization

Forever Family

Dear Libby,
Today was a very special day in our family; we finalized Ashton and Sidney's adoption! It was a long time coming! Today we went to court and the judge signed the final adoption decree.

The kids' names are now Ashton Erin and Sidney Morgan. Sidney changed her name from Sidney Kayla to Sidney Morgan. She did this for two reasons. The first reason is because we were not able to choose her name. Although she felt that she could not change her first name, we were going to pick a middle name for her. Then she melted our hearts when she picked the name Morgan. Our daughter that was stillborn was named Alexa Morgan. She did this for us and to honor our daughter's remembrance.

Lifetime (and you) have been a great help making our dreams come true. We all would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You will never be forgotten and always hold a special meaning to our family.

We will always be an advocate to for adoption (especially older children) and always recommend Lifetime to everyone in search of finding their forever family.

Take care and thanks again and again!

-Dan & Karen

Brian and Julie's son, Hudson

Our Blessed Adoption Journey

We want to share our story to honor our courageous birthmother and celebrate our son's life as well as provide encouragement to those embarking on this journey and those waiting for their child to find them.  It will happen!

We spent two and a half years trying to conceive a child.  We used all the infertility treatments available several times over and were met with heartache at each attempt.  We wanted to be parents and could not understand why this was not happening for us.  We are good people with a loving, stable home.  Certainly we were meant to bring a child into this world and raise him or her.  We both reached a point where we knew were were on the wrong path to parenthood.  It took us some time to heal from infertility and all the emotions that accompany it.

Karl and Jennifer's precious bundle, Sophia

Fresh From God

We are so excited to bring lil' Sophia into our lives! This past week has been an incredible experience and more peaceful than we could have ever anticipated!  Our faith led us to come out here and we are so grateful that we did.

Diane - thank you for the wonderful wisdom and encouragement over the past few weeks.  You will never know how much your calming spirit impacted us.
