And Baby Makes Three
Hi all! Just a quick update on life with Logan.
It’s hard to believe Logan has only been in our lives a couple months; we honestly don’t know what we did before him. He fits into our family like a little puzzle piece. It’s funny how many times we here people say how much he looks like us, particularly Leodis. But just more confirmation that God created this little boy especially for us.
Born at six pounds 10 ounces, he’s now grown to a very healthy eleven pounds, four ounces. He eats likes he’s racing, and never misses a meal. He’s still in a bassinet in our room for nights and occasionally ends up in our bed before morning. But hopefully in the next month or so, we’ll have the heart to move him to his own bed in his room, he’s quickly outgrowing the bassinet.
Logan has Leodis eating out of the palm of his hand. Leodis has changed a few diapers and gotten up for a few late night feedings. But he mostly enjoys picking Logan up from daycare in the evenings and giving him lots of hugs and kisses.
Thanks for all your love and support,
Leodis & Deonna |

Friends from the Start
Dear Diane,
I just wanted to send a quick note with a picture of Parker and Charlie and thank everyone at Lifetime who helped us. Charlie has grown so much! We were so blessed to have been able to create our family through the adoption of both our sons.
Charlie is eight months old now and is the sweetest little guy ever. He is never not smiling and is so happy! He has been crawling for a month and is now even pulling up to stand! Most of all he just wants to follow big brother Parker all around.
Parker is now two and a half and he is such a great big brother to little Charlie. He is always wanting to help feed and just play with him. Parker is talking up a storm now and makes both of us laugh at all the things he is saying now.
Love,
Laura and Mead |

Capture the Moment
Gabby is doing great! She already weighs 8 pounds, 3 ounces and has grown two inches! She is so full of smiles and if she could, she would be talking up a storm already!
She is extremely alert and aware of everything going on around her. She likes to listen to her Baby Einstein Lullaby CD and she falls asleep to it every night. She absolutely loves taking baths and throws a "diva" fit when bath time is over. Her big brother and sister can't get enough of her and the same goes for all of her grandparents, aunts and uncles. She gets more beautiful with every day that passes and we still can't believe that she is ours! We take pictures of her almost every single day and she is a big fan of the camera, always ready for a picture!
We are so overjoyed and amazed at God's wonder and love and we just hope that Gabby's birthmother knows how she changed our lives.

What a wonderful eight months since we were blessed with Isaac! He is a special joy each and every day and we can't thank you enough for everything you did to bring him to us!
He's a happy eight month old with two new teeth and a huge grin. He loves music and playing the piano with daddy is a favorite way to pass the time.
Thank you again for all that you do!

The Greatest Miracle of All
Wow, God is so good! From the moment we began this incredible journey to the moment we laid eyes on our little guy, God was completely in charge.
Adoption is an amazing and emotional journey that can present highs and lows and everything in between. Our journey was no different. Every time we felt like despair, confusion, paperwork, and time was overwhelming us, we were reminded to surrender our plan to God because this was His plan. When we did surrender, God kept arranging everything into this awesome master plan that we look back at and wonder why we were ever worried. In the moments where we were troubled this verse calmed us and reminded us of who was in control. Matthew 14:27 "But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage!
It is I, Don't be afraid."
We knew from looking back at our past that God has done amazing things in our lives, yet, just like the disciples in the moment of fear we forget where our strength comes from. So, because this verse was so inspirational for us we decided to name our amazing little boy "Courage Emmanuel" meaning "courage, God is with us!" Our prayer is that all the adoptive families who are still on the journey to be matched with their little piece of heaven, will never forget to call on the One who makes all this possible. Then stand back and wait for His awesome master plan to be revealed to you. We are absolutely in love with Courage and the joy he brings into our home is more than we could have imagined!
Much Love & Aloha,
Tom, Michelle, Sean, Jaylin, Promise, Trust, & Courage Emmanuel

Adoption is a Miracle
Dear Diane,
We'd like to give waiting adoptive families an abridged version of our adoption journey, in hopes that it will help and encourage them.
When we started with Lifetime almost two years ago, our hearts were heavy. After 21 years of marriage, and three miscarriages, it wasn't looking too hopeful for us to have a family. We were also in our forties, and felt as if time was definitely running out. A good friend of ours encouraged us to think about adoption once again. We had talked about it many times, and decided even if we didn't have the money, we would believe that God would make a way, and we would trust Him above all circumstances.

Our Bundle of Joy
Hello Veronica and Lifetime family,
We are pleased to announce that our family has been blessed with a bundle of joy named Brennan Caleb.
The meeting of his birthmother was a joyous one. She has been a blessing to us and we could not have asked for a better child. We have found a life-long friend in her. We would tell the other families that are waiting that the right child is waiting of you, do not give up or feel that God has forgotten about you! So once again we would like to thank the Lifetime Family.

Sweet Beginnings
Life's a little busy as we're trying to adjust but we're really enjoying little Drew. He's a very pleasant fellow when he's not hungry or tired. He really is a blessing! This picture is of Drew in his little baby dedication outfit.
We can't begin to thank everyone at Lifetime for all you've done for us. You're a top-notch organization who has a very friendly and personable staff who is reachable almost all of the time. We appreciate your honesty and integrity - traits that really make you shine.
Thank you so much for the gifts that you sent to Drew. That was so nice of you - a gesture that was above and beyond the call of duty! He'll definitely be able to use these things. Thanks again for everything!

God's Amazing Plan
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our healthy baby boy, Eli Samuel! Eli weighed seven pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and a smile that could melt anyone's heart.
Our journey has been well worth it! As I sit here and look at our precious baby, I can't help but be in awe of God's amazing plan. When we couldn't trace His hand through these difficult years of infertility, we could only trust His heart. Looking back, I'm so glad we did. You see, our birthmother conceived Eli at the exact time last year, when Jason and I had been through so much that we just wanted to give up. Isn't that how God works? He was knitting Eli together in her womb, knowing of the blessing on our way, as we struggled to understand. He is a God of sweet surprises and we are so thankful for this perfect gift in our lives. Thank you Lifetime, for your help and support through this journey. The sign hanging in Eli's room says it all . . .
"I asked for this child and the LORD has granted me what I asked of Him." 1 Samuel 1:27
Love,

Our Prayers Answered
We are truly blessed!
At the beginning of our adoption journey, we were very nervous and intimidated with making profiles. Once that was complete, followed by our home study, the wait began.
Once we were matched with our birthmother, we got to go to a prenatal appointment with her and verify everything was fine with the baby. We were able to meet again for lunch to get to know the birthmother and birthfather a little better. Turns out the four of us had a lot in common! What hit home for us is the birthfather stating that we were an answer to their prayers.
Two weeks after our lunch date, we got a call that the birth mother was in labor. We were able to be at the hospital while the birth mom had a c-section. She had already notified the staff of the adoption plan so when they brought him to the nursery we were able to hold him right away, give him his first feeding, change the first diaper, and have our very own room for two and a half days. While in the hospital we were able to visit the birth parents and they held the baby. Both continued to thank us for adopting him and expressed to us how hard this is, but that they knew it was the best thing for the baby. The birth mom also stated that she wanted to see him for some closure.
It has been two months now and Phillip-David is our dream come true. He has brought our family and all those who care about us so much joy! We still talk to the birth parents about two times a month. We can truly say that we have come to love his birth parents and will forever have gratitude in our hearts for the gift they trusted us with.
To every one still waiting: never trust man alone, but always trust God. You never know what He is up to. Thank you Lifetime, for being there through the joys and heartaches. You made this process so much more enjoyable than doing it alone. We are grateful for the time, effort, and dedication that you provide.
With Love,
Jason and Tamara |

A Year Passed
Good morning, Diane,
I thought you might enjoy an updated picture of Robby. He's doing really well - almost walking, and talking up a storm. It's so hard to believe that it was a year ago that we got the call that he was on his way! I still get a little thrill every time I creep into his room at night, to realize that he's really here! I don't know if all parents feel that way, or if it's just more potent because we waited so long, but it's an amazing feeling. Being his parents is absolutely a dream come true. Thank you for all you and the others at Lifetime did to help us on our way.
Blessings,
Kristen and Mark |

Our Pretty Baby
Hi Diane,
Jaiden Paige is six months old already and growing fast. She is 18 lbs 7 oz and 27" long. She is such a pretty baby and always happy. She loves to give hugs and kisses, say "dada," and tries to mimic everything her big sister Ashley does.
We are getting closer to the adoption finalization. Everything is getting submitted to the courts and then just wait for our date to be set. We are so blessed to have Jaiden in our family and can't wait to get started on a second adoption!

Our first year with Carson was pure enjoyment! We are interested in adopting once Carson becomes two. Exciting to think we might be able to give Carson a brother or sister or even both if we are lucky to get twins!
