Antwaun and Kristy's Lifetime babySpecial Delivery

We just want to thank Lifetime for all the work that was done in order for us to receive our precious baby boy. Landon is now eight pounds. He still has his days and nights mixed up but we don't mind. Our family can't get enough of him; he is LOVED. Thanks again!

Katie all decked out for mommy's partyOur Lucky Charm

Dear Veronica & my Lifetime Friends,

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I hope you all had a really fun day. Besides celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, we also celebrated my mommy’s birthday (a few days early) with 20 of my pre-school friends.

The theme of the party was Tinkerbell. In the morning I dressed in shamrocks and my Winnie the Pooh bib that said “Baby’s First St. Patrick’s Day” and then for the birthday party, I dressed in my Tinkerbell dress.

Love,
Katie (Lifetime baby of Roger & Tricia)

Jason and Megan's Lifetime baby, StellaGod Brought Us Together

To everyone at Lifetime-especially Diane, Dee, and Amie,

Thank you so much for all the work you do. It is because of you that God brought us together with little Stella and her birth family. Even though the journey had its ups and downs, we feel so blessed that you were our partner every step of the way. We will always sing your praises!

May God bless all of you,

Jason & Megan

Kayla is almost one year old!On the Move

Hello Lifetime!

We can’t believe that Kayla will be a year old next month!   Where does the time go?  She is crawling around like crazy and it is only a matter of time before she is walking without support.  She is so much fun and we are so blessed she is a part of our family. We start "Mommy & Me" swim classes this Saturday and she was baptized last month.  Thank you again for everything!  We LOVE being parents!  Hope everyone is doing well.

Colin is full-blown boy!Pure Boy

Hi Lori!

You helped us with our adoption almost three years ago and you were a wonderful help!  Colin is our son and he is now almost three and is a full-blown little boy!  We are so blessed by his adoption and by God making us a family!

We are ready and excited to be adopting again.  We're a family who has adopted previously and successfully with Lifetime and have a desire (and excitement) to adopt an African American baby (or twins!)

Hope you are doing well!

Kendal at 16 months oldDancing Through Life

Hi Veronica,

As you can imagine things get very busy with the little one! Kendal is 16 months old now, and thriving.  She is says so many words, and is definitely a mover. She loves to dance and anything with music.

We received Kendal's birth certificate in the mail about a month ago. It was amazing to finally see all of our names on there together, and for her legal documents to not say "Baby Girl" for her name.

We are so thankful for all of the work you and Lifetime did to help us and Kendal's birthmother. It is so hard to understand at the beginning how all this could be possible.  We still break down and cry sometimes when she just looks at us, and especially now that she is talking and saying "mommy" and "daddy." We never forget all the prayers, and support from Lifetime family.

Thank you,
Shane and Jennifer

Evan is now six months old!Our Adoption Story

Amie & Heidi:

Evan will be six months already tomorrow! Here is our adoption story; we hope that it will give other waiting adoptive families hope in their wait...

It seemed like we would never get picked…and then our life changed within a few days.

We started our journey deciding what kind of adoption we wanted to pursue:  international, domestic, agency, facilitation, etc.  After a number of months of researching and phone calling, we picked Lifetime Adoption because it seemed to fit most with the involved approach we wanted to have to make the experience even more personal.

We jumped on board and did everything we were advised to do by Lifetime.  Home study approval and profile design were our first projects, both completed within a couple of months.  We kept our matching preferences very open; our only request was for an infant (or twins!).  If God’s grand design for each little blessing chooses things like eye color, skin tone, and boy versus girl, who were we to put parameters on that blessing?   We just wanted a chance to start at the beginning, with a healthy newborn, and things like gender or race would simply be part of the blessing we would receive.

Then the wait started and just kept lingering!  We continued to send more and more profiles; revised with updates as Lifetime suggested. We made sure our home study was ready and updated after a year.  At the 18-month mark of waiting came around, we found ourselves feeling a bit dejected and asking the question,”What if we’re never picked?”  We asked ourselves that question a lot, especially after a promising match fell apart and it was hard to remain optimistic.  We needed to continue to believe that a birth mom would see our profile and pick us to be the good parents she needed to find for her child.

Despite the waiting, we never relented on the details – we knew it was important to stay “ready.”  We kept a “travel box” ready with things like important papers and other items for our inevitable trip.  We paid our bills early, stayed on top of clothes washing and other household items and had time off plans ready and waiting for our respective workplaces.

And then, all of a sudden, it happened!

Cooper is a great baby!God Brought Us Together

Hi Amie,
We finalized Cooper's adoption! We had our adoption celebration last week by video conference! We are very excited!

Cooper is a great baby and I am truly blessed to have him in my life.  I love being a mommy; it is the most amazing thing I have ever done.  I want to thank you and everyone at Lifetime.  I was very nervous going into the adoption process and you all helped to calm my nerves.  For the most part, this journey was smooth with a few bumps but during those stressful times it was comforting to know that I had someone to call and talk through it with.  I really liked the fact that Lifetime made me feel important and if I called with a question or concern I would get an immediate response.  I can not say enough good about you, Dee and Lifetime.  I have been called for a reference and look forward to sharing my story with more potential families.  I also look forward to working with you in a couple years for a playmate for Cooper.

So from the bottom of our hearts we thank you and may God Bless your work!

Aiden enjoying bath timeTubs of Fun

Aiden just turned three months old and he is growing so fast! We went to the doctor and Aiden weighed 16 pounds and he was a little over 27 inches long! Our doctor said he was definitely going to be a tall boy and he's so advanced! Aiden amazes us every day with what he learns.

Last Sunday was his dedication service at our church. Aiden is the first adopted child in our church and he is such a blessing. We love being his parents! We are so thankful that God chose us to be a part of this precious child's life. We email Aiden's birthmother every Friday with all of his progress, stories of what he did that week, and pictures of him. Thanks again for everything! We will never forget the staff at Lifetime and we will never forget Aiden's adoption.

Evan just turned two!TWO Cute!

Dear Dee, Diane, and all the Lifetime staff,

Evan just turned two!  He has really kept us going this last year while Michelle dealt with her mother's cancer and death and the wait for another child.  One look at him reminds us of how grateful we are of God's plan and Lifetime's hand in making our dream come true.  Nothing compares to love between a parent and child - it is so amazing.  In the past few months he has been saying, "I Love You," and his version of the ABC song and Twinkle, Twinkle.  Every day is a blessing when we get to see his sweet face or have him wrap his arms around us.

We still communicate monthly with his birthmother via email to give her updates and photos.  She is pretty busy with her second son so we don't hear from her often.  She does seem very happy and still thanks us each time for loving Evan so much.

All the best,
Stan & Michelle

Charlotte loves being a big sister!I'm the Big Sister!

Dear Lori and all the Lifetime family,

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the love, help, prayers, and support through our adoption journey.

Daniel is such a blessing in our lives and if it weren't for all of your help and encouragement, our journey to find each other wouldn't have been the same. We will always remember you in our prayers. You are all gifts from God to all of the families you help. Charlotte loves being a big sister!

With love and gratitude,

Matthew & Michelle

Katie loves Disneyland! My First Disneyland Trip

Dear Veronica & my Lifetime Friends,

I hope you all had a really fun Valentine’s Day.  I got to be at Disneyland for Valentine’s Day with mommy, daddy & Nana.  I had a wonderful first trip to The Disneyland Resort.  I just loved all the sights, sounds, characters and rides (even though I did sleep through a few of them).  My first Disney ride was Heimlich’s Chew Chew Train in Bug’s Land at Disney’s California Adventure but I went on everything from Dumbo, Peter Pan, & Toy Story Mania to Pirate’s of the Caribbean.  I also got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Tinker Bell, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Pooh and Tigger.  I wanted to take this opportunity during Valentine’s to tell you again how much I love and appreciate all of you at Lifetime for helping my birthmom and  me find my Lifetime family.  My birthmom calls often to express how happy she is for herself and for us that my mommy and daddy have the opportunity to raise me.  Thank you for playing a huge role in making this all happen!

Love,

Katie (Tricia & Roger's Lifetime baby)

Czakar and Cynthia are eternally grateful for their blessing from GodGod's Gift From Above

We just wanted to drop a note to say thanks to all the wonderful Lifetime staff and to offer words of encouragement to waiting families.

God's timing is not our timing, but He is faithful to His promises.  We are eternally grateful to Him for blessing us with our wonderful son Caleb. He is such a great baby. He is very alert, active and has the cutest smile that melts our hearts.

It is through God's gift we truly understand unconditional love. No matter how long or how difficult the wait may seem, don't give up and keep the faith. Know that all things work together for good. God is preparing you and your future birthmother for a match made in heaven. Be encouraged, be hopeful and be blessed.

-Czakar and Cynthia

Stella's adoption was finalized last week, just one month after her birth. We are enjoying life as a family of four and Levi is in love with his new sister!

Little Weston at mealtimeBe Our Baby

Diane,

Things have been busy for us! Weston's birthmother is such a lovely, sweet young woman. She was so gracious and thoughtful to us! We plan to all stay in touch as much as she would like. She was just fine with us changing his name. We are enjoying him already in the few hours we've had with him. God has answered our prayers and we are thankful for the part that you all at Lifetime have had in bringing our little boy to us! Thank you so much, Diane.

We'll be in touch again soon!
With thankful hearts,

Josh & Emily

A note to Lifetime Adoption from Weston's birthmother:
I wanted to say thank you for all the wonderful things. It means a lot knowing that others care. I also appreciate all the work you have done to help me find Josh and Emily. I couldn't ask for anything more. They were exactly what I was looking for, and I love them with all my heart. They called yesterday letting me know they got home safely and they are happy to be home with the whole family. Thank you again!

Torre and Marion's blessing from GodBlessing From Above

There is only one word or "name" to describe the way we feel. Trinity saying "hey" to mommyYou Go Girl!

Hi Veronica

We just wanted to send you an update to let you know that we finalized Trinity's adoption last week!

Trinity is truly a joy.  She is the most amazing little girl and has so much personality that people always stop to talk to her.  Words cannot express how happy and grateful we are to have her in our lives.  I know you have heard before it but we really can't imagine life without her.  We thank Lifetime so much for bringing us and our little girl together.

In this picture Tavonia said,  "hey girl" and she put her hand up and said "hey" back!  The doctor said her speech is quite advanced.

Drew is a laid-back and easy-going babyForever Grateful

Dee & Lifetime Staff,

We are all doing well and have adjusted quite easily to having a little one in the house.  Drew is such a joy and brings a lot of love and warmth to our family.

He is now 13 months old and is a very laid back and easy-going guy. Drew is content to entertain himself for small periods of time, which allows us to get a few things done around the house.  He also likes spending time romping on the floor with Mark, looking at books with us, going places in the car and just being held and snuggled.  He is also very curious and notices anything new or different.  We call him Curious George!  We have all bonded so deeply and we just can’t imagine life without him.

We also want to say that because or our location, we needed to use another adoption agency in order to get the adoption finalized in our county.  We must say that after dealing with another agency, Lifetime runs a superb operation.  You are top notch!  Sometimes you don’t really appreciate what you have 'til you don’t have it anymore.  We appreciate all of the help, support, advice and encouragement that you gave to us during our time with you.  At one point we were ready to just throw in the towel and call it quits but we remembered a comment that someone made to us when we first signed up …“Everyone who sticks with us and does all that we ask eventually ends up with a child."  Well we couldn’t have asked for a better match up!   As they say, “It was a match made in heaven."

Thank you for making all of this happen and for bringing Drew into our lives.  We are forever grateful!

May God bless you, your families and Lifetime Adoption!

Mark & Marilyn
