Her Adoption is Final!

I wanted to share our wonderful news!  Yesterday Maggie's adoption became official! This photo is of the three of us with the judge at Maggie's adoption finalization in court. 

The last six months have gone by so fast - she's growing and learning and is such a happy little girl!  We are so blessed to have her as our daughter.   Thank you so much Lifetime for bringing us together as a family!

Thank you so much for the help and support you had given us and Ashton's birth family, during our process to be matched with our son Ashton. We were so lucky to be involved with his birth mother's pregnancy, being we were only five hours away from her. We spent many weekends with her and was even able to go to a few doctors appointments.

The day our son was born was a very exciting day! Candice got to be in the room during delivery, and even got to cut the umbilical cord. It was such a great experience and true love at first sight! 

To think only five months ago we came to you in hopes of growing our family, now we have a son who is almost a month old already! He is very spoiled and has a BIG sister who loves him a lot and is such a great helper. Our home and hearts are now full and we look forward to the years ahead watching him grow.

We plan on visiting Ashton's birth family this weekend and plan to stay in close contact with them. They gave us a gift from God and we are forever thankful for them and you all at Lifetime for matching us up together.

We can't believe Cassidy is three months old already.  It goes by fast! We just celebrated Connor's fourth birthday and his birthmom came over and stayed with us for the weekend.  She is like a sister to me and it was so much fun.

Our Second Lifetime Baby

Hi Amie!

We can't believe Cate is already a month old.  We were so blessed to match with our birthmom when she was six months pregnant.  Although we lived too far away to visit beforehand, we were able to communicate regularly through emails and phone calls.  I think the time we spent with her birthparents the week before Cate's birth was invaluable, and they really loved the time they were able to spend with her the week following her birth.  Now that she is home we are adjusting to life as a family of four.  Connor loves holding her and kissing her, and we have enjoyed showing her off to friends and family!  We are so appreciative of the support we received from Lifetime throughout this process, and we continue to pray for all of the families still waiting.

Everything We Prayed For

Hi Amie,
We wanted to thank you again for everything you did for us and to let you know how special Jayden is to us. We finalized Jayden’s adoption this week. He is everything we prayed for and such a blessing.  People are always telling us he looks like Adlai including my family and friends who know he’s adopted…it’s pretty funny!

After having such a long journey, it’s pretty amazing that that we received and finalized our adoption of a beautiful baby boy so quickly.  While waiting for it to happen, it wasn’t easy, but we can honestly say that the Lifetime staff provided realistic estimates on everything.  After we completed all of our paperwork with Lifetime, we received our little bundle of joy and finalized his adoption in less than one year. We can’t express to you how thankful we are and how blessed we feel.  He is such a joy and everything we prayed for.  We plan to send more pictures to Jayden's birthmother around the end of this month, after we take pictures of him at four months.

Our Third Precious Son

We are so grateful and thankful for the newest member of our family.  God has greatly blessed us with our third precious son, Johnson Jude.  We met Johnson's birthmother when she was 16 weeks pregnant with him.  Over the following six months, we developed a great relationship with her, her children, her mother, and also Johnson's birth father.  Fortunately, our birthmother lives close to us, and she was so sweet to give us the amazing opportunity to go to all of her doctors appointments.  She also wanted Amanda to be in the delivery room, and allowed Amanda to cut Johnson's umbilical cord.  We spent the first 48 hours of Johnson's life in the hospital with him.  We were so blessed to bring him home when he was two days old!

We absolutely love having three sweet little boys, and we are so thankful for the way God has built our family. We appreciate everyone at Lifetime and their dedication to birth families as well as adoptive families!  They were always so kind and easy to work with, and I know our birth mother felt very comfortable with every one.  We have lots of fun times ahead, and we are so excited to watch our sweet little boys grow!  Please know that God has the most amazing plan for you and your family...all in His perfect timing!

Just wanted to send you a picture of our little man Kash! He is six and a half weeks old. Time flies by when you’re having fun! He loves to smile and watch cartoons! Words can't express how we feel right now.  Just hours ago we left the courthouse with our beautiful daughter, Ellie Grace.  We have been blessed beyond measure with such wonderful, amazing birthparents.  We have such a wonderful relationship with them and love and respect them more than words can say. We are forever bonded by he love we all share for this beautiful baby. 

We never imagined that just three weeks after signing our contract with you we would be blessed with our match, and months later we would be holding our precious girl in our arms.  It is nothing more than a testimony of the Lord's perfect timing.  When I look at her sweet face I understand why we had to endure all we did, the IVF treatments, the multiple miscarriages all led us here; to the child God had for us all along.

School Time

Adoption in Only 45 Days!

Hi Veronica,

We have been truly blessed with our new daughter. She has been the light of our lives ever since she was born. Our journey with Lifetime Adoption has some what of unique twist. We were in the middle of the process, up to putting the finishing touches on our profiles, when we got the call from you. It was about 8:30 the evening; our birth mother had seen our information on your website and wanted us to adopt her baby girl. She was in labor at the time we got the call! She lived about three hours away from us, so we grabbed some clothes and hit the road. She was actually born before we left home. We were lucky enough to be given a room at the hospital and were with her from that moment on. It is amazing how she has captured the hearts of everyone that sees her.

She is the sweetest, most beautiful baby in the world and we can't thank you and Lifetime enough for making this all happen. You and everyone at Lifetime are all very thorough and understanding and are there to answer all your questions. We were able to adopt and bring home our daughter after being contracted for only 45 days! This is an experience we will never forget and one we hope to relive again in a couple of years!

Look Who's Crawling!

We wanted to share our newest little discovery...crawling. Georgia is eight months old and officially on the move, she went backwards for about a week, but has now figured out forward motion. She is very proud of herself as you can see. As happy as she was to figure out crawling, she is bound and determined to be up and walking so she can more effectively keep up with her brothers.

She is the light and joy of of lives and such a blessing every day. Many thanks from the bottom of our hearts for our beautiful family. We continue to pray for all the waiting families, the birthmothers and for all of you at Lifetime as you bring everyone together.

Our Lifetime Family

Connor is such an amazing big brother! I hung up the phone with Cassidy's birthmother a few days ago and told Connor that she said hi to him, and he asked, "Did you tell her I love my little sister and thank you for making her for me?" Tears. What a sweet boy.

Cassidy is sleeping through the night at seven weeks! Hooray! She's healthy and easy which is nice to have. We are so blessed and grateful to be parents. We have referred four couples to Lifetime that I know applied. It was such a fast way to become parents!

Every Day is a Gift

Hi Amie,

As always, your expertise, guidance, support, and prayers were a blessing from God. We are beyond thankful that He led us to Lifetime and that He so clearly guides the work you do. You are all angels here on earth!

We can't believe it's been four months since the miracle of Josie entered our lives! Everything is so different and yet we can't seem to remember life before her. We are still so overwhelmed by actually having her with us and every day is a gift!

Josie is doing so well! She's up to 11 pounds, eight ounces and is a whopping 22 inches long! She is cooing and laughing, rolling over from front to back, scooching around on the floor (it would be crawling if only arms or legs would work!) and sleeping through the night. She is a delight and a joy to us and our entire family and every new day is a precious gift with our little girl!

Josie's story has also proven to be such a strong testament to the power of God's love and God's plan. It is a pleasure to share her story with others because it illustrates His wonderful presence in our lives so beautifully. It also gives us a chance to sing the praises of Lifetime, which we are always happy to do!

We just finalized the adoption of Jayden today.  We are officially a family of four! We are doing great and are going to spend the rest of the summer relaxing and enjoying life.  We just celebrated Noah's 1st birthday. Our 'Lil Sunshine

Hello Amie!

We are all doing well and hope you are too.  We were reflecting just this week about how fast time has gone since our not-so-little Evan came to us.  He will be two years old soon, but he appears even older!

Evan is the sunshine in our house, in fact we say, "Good morning sunshine!" when he wakes up in the morning.  Evan is our amazing learning machine; he knows some shapes, some colors, adores his grandma and his daycare provider. We've never heard from birth mom; we hope she is succeeding in the life plans she shared with us during our brief visit.

He's a Dream
Come True!

We have been so blessed by the adoption of our son, Samuel John. We've been home now for a week and have settled nicely into being a family of three. We are always taking pictures of Sam, fighting over who gets to feed and hold him next, and just absolutely giddy over every little sweet noise he makes.  He is our living, breathing dream come true!

It's hard to believe that we started this whole process only 11 months ago.  We love Samuel's birthparents, and his birthmom and Janna has continued to talk and text since we got home. Janna was fortunate to be able to attended a few pre-natal appointments, and was even in the room for the birth! We now consider his birthparents an extension of our own families, and we will be forever grateful to them for the amazing gift that is our son! Thank you so much for everything you and the rest of the Lifetime staff did to help our dream of becoming parents become a reality!

Hello Lifetime!

We wanted to share with you our first family photo since Ebbon came to join us on the 4th of July! His big brother Ke'le is going to be a great big brother. We are so happy to be on this side of our adoption journey! We are enjoying baby Ebbon and his sweet smile. He is such a good baby and hardly ever cries! A Special Fifth Birthday

Boo hoo...my baby is five today! How did that happen?!  Took her for her
first pedicure while Connor was at basketball camp. She said the Hello Kitty chair made her feel extra special and cozy all over...that is Emaline! We are going to lunch with friends today and then planning her birthday party with her school friends when school starts next week.

We have a pink, battery operated four-wheeler waiting at the cabin and a birthday cake for tonight when we go back in. She is going to be beside herself. She sneaks riding Connor's all the time. Of course, pink will help, too! Thank you for making this special day possible for all of us!

The Joy of Having a Boy

Here is a recent picture of Isaac. It's so hard to believe it's been three years since we got "the call"! Isaac is a fabulous little boy, full of energy and with a great sense of humor. We are really enjoying this summer playing in the backyard and learning to swim. He loves to ride his "big boy" bike and keeps us running after him!

The Boy of Our Dreams

Everything went really smoothly with our adoption! Mason Isaac is a super-active, friendly, curious little guy.  We couldn't have asked for anything more.  At 15 months old he is still toddling around, but he can tear around the parks up here with the best of them. 

We feel like it was difficult on the birthparents at the very end, but they never wavered and felt confident in their decision to place him with us and knew it was for the best.  We have been having a great time with him and we thought we would send out a few pictures. Overjoyed New Parents

Dear Diane and Heidi,

We wanted to share our awesome news – we finalized our adoption this morning!  Praise God!  Today was just the icing on the cake, as the past four months have been the greatest of our lives since becoming parents to our sweet daughter.  Our precious baby girl is a dream come true!  She is thriving and growing so fast.  She is now rolling over, grasping objects, putting everything in her mouth, and cooing all the time.  What a joy it is to celebrate the achievement of all of these milestones with her.  Her beautiful, bright blue eyes just melt our hearts, as do her sweet giggles and smiles.  We are so in love!! 

There are no words to express our gratitude for all you have done for us over the past year and for being right beside us every step of the way.  Never in a million years did we dream that within just a few short months of getting started with Lifetime we would match with our birth mother, and within eight months we be would be holding our beautiful baby girl in our arms.  Open adoption enabled us to actually experience the pregnancy, by attending prenatal doctor’s visits, hearing our baby’s heartbeat, and seeing her on ultrasound!  It was a surreal, priceless experience to be present when our baby entered the world, and then holding her against my chest in our hospital room for the next eight hours following her birth.  We were overjoyed as new parents and instantly bonded with our precious miracle of life.  The moments we shared with our birth mother throughout her pregnancy are memories that we will treasure forever, and we are very thankful to have been so actively involved during that time.  We were truly a match made in heaven!  We also cannot wait to share these exciting stories with our baby girl as she grows.  Our daughter is God’s greatest blessing, and we know that His divine plan for our family was carried out through the work of many angels (you guys!) who helped bring us together.  We now enjoy sharing our adoption experience with others and we love to tell them all about Lifetime.  We are forever grateful to our beautiful birth mother and her family, and to you for everything you have done for us.  Thank you from the bottom of our very full hearts!

Hello to our Wonderful Lifetime Family!

We wanted to send you an update on our precious little David Anthony.  It is hard to believe that he is already one!

We recently took David and his brother Ryan to NASA in Houston, to the Kemah Boardwalk and to several beaches in Galveston. We all had a great time! David loved playing in the sand and swimming. His favorite song right now is “The Wheels on the Bus." He loves to do the hand movements to the song. His favorite foods are homemade tortillas, macaroni and cheese and bananas.

We can’t thank you all enough for bringing such a wonderful little boy into our lives. His big brother Ryan just adores him!

By the way, we have loaned our copy of Mardie's new book,
Called to Adoption, to several people in our area who heard about our own two adoptions. It is so great to have this book to share with others as well as our very positive adoption journey with Lifetime!

Bright Light in our Day

11 1/2 years ago, you helped us through our adoption journey! Colin starts middle school in the fall.  He is super excited about getting to dress out for P.E. This year he received the Presidential Academic Award, the Junior Master Gardener's Science Award, the National Physical Fitness Award and made the A/B Honor Roll.  We are very proud of him.  He is the bright light in our day.  Thank everyone for all they have done. If I could convince my husband we aren't too old, I'd do it all over again! Thanks for all you do to make people's dreams come true.

A Gift From Above

We wanted to thank all of you at Lifetime for your prayers and support. Thank you also for the gifts we just got in the mail (love the wrap). We feel very blessed that there is a service like Lifetime where families can be brought together for the benefit of not only the child but everyone involved. Our lives have changed so much and will continue to do so. It was a very long wait but worth every second. Zoe and her birthmother were God's plan for us. We just had to be patient, pray and keep our faith that God has a great plan. We were not supposed to be matched any earlier than this. Zoe is the one! It is easy to say this now and I would never tell anyone that it was easy but the wait was worth every bit of doubt and frustration. You can't always say that things will pay off in the end but this did. I can't express enough how blessed we feel. Zoe is perfect!

Hi Heidi,

Here is an updated picture of our darling little one, she is already six months old.  I have no idea where the time has gone! Here she is in the pool for the first time, it was heated to about 100 degrees, so it was like a giant bathtub.

Rough & Tumble

Hi Lifetime! 

We have been super busy but having tons of fun with our little guy!  We just got back from vacation where Eli got to go to his first amusement park and his first trip to the zoo where he got to ride his favorite thing - a train!  He also got to play at an indoor water park and was the only two year old that didn't get in free because he was too tall (over 36 inches!) He's going to be a big boy!  He is incredibly smart, extremely athletic and has an enormous vocabulary that impresses us every day! 

We are so blessed to have been matched with Eli's birthparents and I have told them: "Thank you again for what you guys did.  There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of you and your family.  Please know we pray for you both and are so appreciative of the gift you've given us.  We love you."

A Dream Come True

Thank you so much Lifetime family, for making my greatest dream come true! To become a mother, only God brought this agency into my life and only God was able to give me my baby boy.  His name is Miles Lorenzo (Milo is his nickname)  He is so very beautiful, just like his birthmother.  She is a wonderful young lady and I am blessed to have her select me to raise her son.  Miles is almost six weeks old now, and his little personally is coming out already.  He is wonderful with beautiful brown eyes, sweetest little lips and a cooing laugh already.  He has stolen my heart and I never want to get it back.
