Beautiful little Kiden joins her parents, Greg & Kathy, as well as her four older brothers (the youngest brother was also adopted through Lifetime)!

Our Amazing Blessing!

Greetings from Florida! Joseph is an amazing blessing. He is perfect and, yes, I know every parent thinks so, but he is!

Joseph weighed a perfect six pounds, 12 ounces, and was 19-and-a-half inches long. We left the hospital with all papers signed when he was just 26 hours old!

Here are some photos of Joseph when he was just one hour old. We hope to be home soon, as quickly as the remaining interstate paperwork is done.

A Dream Come True!

Our Precious Little One!

Many, many thanks to all of you for the role each of you has played in helping our family with the adoption of Saylor Grace. We made it home on Tuesday night and were greeted at the airport by a very excited big sister and many other family members.

We can't tell you enough what joy and excitement it has been to expand our family, but it's also been great to make so many new friends along the way, including what we hope and trust to be a long term relationship with the birthparents and family. We had lunch with them on Tuesday before flying out. They were kind enough to send us away with several cards and gifts, but most of all a re-assurance that they couldn't have asked for anything more from everyone involved in the process.

What a testament to all of us for the way things were handled. God has definitely been involved in this situation.

Miracles still Happen!

...and our Laura Beth is one of them! It seemed like babies were everywhere except in our home. So we'd call into Lifetime, check on our profiles, hoping to be told good news! And Lifetime would tell us "When the right one for you comes, it'll be all the more special". We'd hang up the phone, disappointed... but one day a miracle happened!

A very special birthmother had chosen us! She wanted us to have her baby girl who was due soon. A very special two months followed. We would visit by phone about once a week. This was neat because it felt like we got to know our little girl's birthmother a little better.

The day Laura was born is a day we will never forget. We were able to be at the hospital and start bonding with our beautiful baby girl. It was special meeting Laura's birth family... we now have good memories to share with her. Laura is everything we could dream for! Derek - ten, and Jaylen - six, adore their little sister. Our hearts overflow with thanks.

A word of encouragement to waiting families... While we were waiting, I would pray that God would impress a birthmother somewhere to chose us. Our birthmother said she prayed for direction when she had the profiles to chose from, and for some reason, our profile stood out to her. So God does have a perfect plan for you just waiting to happen!
