You Are Not Forgotten
To Jordan and Matthew's birthmother,
It has been quite a year! I have been able to meet the bus Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and Dave on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We know most working parents don't get this opportunity so we are incredibly grateful for our flexible schedules. It has also allowed us to keep life structured and help with homework.
Matthew loves to read and is great at math. He has had a great time in first grade with all sort of events - science projects, gingerbread houses (Dave helped the class with that one), Holiday Concert - he was in the choir, he was the first to read a book to the class, Valentine's party (got lots of sweet notes), and a Easter egg hunt and picnic coming up and he is excited. He also played baseball in the fall and was really good - and I am not just saying that because I am proud. He has a great arm and can hit the ball well. He is going to play soccer again this spring and basketball this summer. He has grown soooo much.
Jordan is doing well in third grade. He was the lead narrator in his class play and did a fantastic job. He has a strong memory. He has two big obsessions FOOTBALL (always on his mind) and singing. We are getting him guitar lessons. He already broke a string on his guitar "tuning it." He just started running club which is once a week in the morning. He is hoping his running will help when he starts football...which is in August. He is going to play spring soccer as well.
Most importantly, we have not forgotten you. Both boys continue to tell stories about their other mom. And we continue to tell them how much love you have for them and how God has a plan and it was for them to be our children. For Christmas, we got Jordan the Rascal Flats CD with "My wish for you." He was thrilled.
Fondly,
Treacy and Dave
